What a joke the U.S Open is. Making players and fans and PPV viewers stay 6 days. This should be a 3 day tournament at best. Rent 16 tables and do it in 3 days. 5 and 6 day formats went out tape decks and micro minnies. Johnnyt

Gives plenty of time for action though!

Most of theses guys aren't looking to gamble. There "tournament players". Plus, can't gamble there. Got to drive an hour to q-masters.Most gamblin is by the lesser players and the locals.

We already miss heaps of great matches because of only having a single PPV stream table. With 16 tables we would simply miss that many more of the good early matchups.

They need to switch to the same setup the World 9-ball Championships has where you can watch whatever match you want as they all have cameras on them. That is an awesome setup and Accustats has definitely fallen behind with new advances like that. This single table PPV thing kind of sucks, we are missing Deuel vs Little Ko right now with Deuel leading 5-2... that is sad.

one of the reasons I go there for last 3 days every year......much better in person anyways and 10 bucks per session is reasonable

The tournament was held on 16 tables just last year. In different rooms. I will take this set up over that one any day.

Your right!

Most of the tournaments that I go to have little to no gambling amongst the big boys and If the are in action their playing guys that I could play.

The World 9 ball is the ONLY PPV worth paying for in terms of options & quality yet it is actually free. I won't spend a penny on overpriced PPV's where I am forced to watch what someone thinks I want to watch.

6 days because $$$$$
more room, food and drink kick back
more live gate days
more PPV days
more parking fees
need to rent less tables...and the list goes on and on.

Not many can spend 6 to 8 days at a pool tournament. You see the same, mostly old people there every year, as you do at the DCC, TS, and Hopkins expo...and those people get older every year.

All first and 2nd tier pros (16 to 32 players) held at a nice sport bar or nice big poolroom that already have tables makes a lot more sense these days. Also, have enough bandwith for a good PPV priced reasonable. Johnnyt

Just order Kozoom to do it, they did the World Champs and they are doing the Eurotour and European Championships. It's just a few bucks away. Though I don't think it's going to happen. The Open PPV costs almost as much as a year subscription of Kozoom events. It's a rip-off already.

Could've done it at the new mega hall by me. 16 nine foot Diamonds for the tourney, a constant stream on the 5x10 Diamond (another one on the way) and I'm sure there would be action on bar tables.

That place is PRIMED for this type of an event... Love it:thumbup:

The new pool hall in NC sounds like a great place to hold an First Annual "North American 9 Ball Championship". Could be Thur-Sun 128 man field event if held on 16 tables.

BB had his US Open for 40 years. Its time for something new and improved!
