What Cue to Purchase?

Thank you for all the input. Im probably going to just go with the meucci casino because it represents me. im a big craps and holdem player thats why my eyes were set on that cue. I know most people dog on meuccis but i think there older stuff and there high end stuff is alot better made.

Later down the road when i make more money i will get a custom. I liked hitting with a terbrock and ariel carmelli.

Never had a cue that put to much on the cue ball. Rather have a cue without limits because I know what it can do. I have had cues with limits. They are no fun.

Too much what? I put a Kamui Clear Black SS on one of my cues, didn't use it much before leagues and learned my lesson about too much draw. I shot a draw shot expecting my normal returns and the cue ball came back like it was a yo-yo right into the side pocket. The look on my face must of been priceless. Needless to say, that shaft went back into the case for further future experimentation. Maybe try another tip. Idk just an idea.

I think he needs some real mental help there.
So let us know how long it takes for the Meucci to fall apart. And when it does and you send it in for warranty repair let us know what decade you get it back if ever.
Personally this is the worst choice between two cues I have ever seen in 52 years of playing pool.
But i hope for the best for you.

Seriously you are taking a step backwards from your current cue to the Meucci!!!! If you want to show your casino/gambling pride hang a poker chip from the zipper on your case or something. Obviously the choice is ultimately yours to make but hopefully you have a moment of clarity before you purchase...Go with the Mezz!!!!!!

You'll regret it bro....

You've been warned about Meucci 's... When it warps (butt and or the shaft) or literally falls apart, don't say we didn't warn you. And good luck trying to get them to stand by the cue. They will give you every reason under the sun why it's YOUR fault and NOT theirs...

I always warn a customer and tell them I cannot help them if they order a Meucci and something goes wrong with it...

I do not know much about newer Meucci Cues.... could be true. I have a Gambler from 1990 that is straight as an arrow and hits well. Dont care for Meucci shafts, never shot with a DOT shaft they came out with since then, but I'm guessing they are pretty much the same feel.... rubbery and inconsistent (just my experience).

Mezz makes an exceedingly well-made cue and it hits very solid. I put their cues on par with Tiger Cues... Tigers are around them same price as the lowest priced Mezz Cues and hit solid with good feedback especially with the XL pro shaft.

McDermott is likely the safest bet in my opinion for a solid Cue for little cash. I own a D-19 that has served me well for a long time and hits just as good today as it did when I got it. I also have a newer G501 with the G-Core Shaft and a got a Predator Z shaft for it as well. Nice Cue, precision instrument with the Z Shaft on it.... takes a bit to get accustomed to a Z-shafts tricks and temper.

Ive been through a few cues... Huebler, Joss West, Richard Black, Adams, Corsair, Helmstetter, Timmy Scruggs. My favorite cue ever is an old Predator 8-point semi-sneaky-pete with a tiger XL shaft on it. Hits like a weapon of mass destruction and can dance with grace when I need to look like I dont have anger issues.

Go with what feels right and strokes your ego to a cozy level.... there-in lies paradise.

if you want to play with an OB shaft than buy an OB butt .
if you want to play with a Predator shaft buy a Predator butt .

you see where i'm going .

One of the best LD cues is a BD cue with SS360 shaft , both shaft and butt made by the same cuemaker . ( Bob Danielson ) .

I really don't understand why people buy custom cues and then put on an aftermarket LD shaft .

I like the DPs but if I was going to buy anything now it would be a Carolina or Jacoby from our fellow AZers in the fs/wanted section. I got the best prices from Acuraheel on the Carolina and I'd have to look to see who it was on the Jacoby

Carolina Custom Cues are buying their cues from China and reselling them, I have heard from reliable industry professionals.

just listed to what guys say on here and get Mezz. You did not like my custom cue- no big deal, but if you are getting production cue. Mezz is the only cue I could recommend, dont like any other like predator, joss, falcon, meucci. OB and Tiger are alright

Second best hitting cue I ever had was a Meucci. Players either love them or hate them. However because of things a local cue repair shop and things I have heard on hear I traded my Meucci. Not because I didn't like it but because I like the original or red dot shafts. Didn't feel comfortable ordering anything new from Meucci. What a shame. They had a good following for a long time.

Right now i have a older dale perry with a ob classic shaft. I like it but im wanting something else. I was wanting some opinions on some cues everyone has shot with. I was gonna buy a meucci casino from tecknow but after reading alot of reviews on meuccis they seem to warp after time and im leaning away from buying it. There is a mezz at my local billiard shop i was wanting input on how you guys like mezz or any other cue. Im not rich but custom cues are nice lol.

i'm a huge mezz fan. they make a great product. the fit and finish is always good and the cues are balanced well and they play stiff but not overly stiff. like a schon but without the metallic tink and lack of give.

they're way better than meuccies. of course so do house cues.

let us know what you get. what model mezz are you thinking to get? which joint, wavy or united, and which shaft?
