I believe Wayne Norcross plays a Paul Casanova, and before that, a Judd.
I really like my Z2 but I'm kinda dissapointed I haven't heard any Pro that shoots with one. Of those that do shoot with a Predator currently or in the past, it has always been the 314-2 it seems.
Coincidentally, so do you. Come to think of it, I've never seen the two of you in the same room together. :scratchhead:
Because NOT all pro's get sponsorship money. I'm pretty sure if SVB did NOT like Cuetech because he could not make the balls the same, he's not going to lose numerous tournaments to pick up a few extra bucks for the sponsorship.
But, this thread does show one thing, it really is the Indian and not the arrow. The best players on the planet shoot with a wide range of cues, including standard and LD shafts.
And yeah, a good thread. Next, what tips are they using

You could have 5 of the supposed "Same Model" cues, and everyone of them would hit differently. NO 2 TREES ARE ALIKE!!! I've had the chance to hit with multiple amounts of the same weight cue and model and everyone of them feels different.
Until you've had the chance to really play with a lot of different cues you will have no idea of the subtle differences between them. And Tips....And Ferrules... And Wraps...Oh MY!!! that's a whole other story. Not to mention joint type, butt diameters and balance points, shaft diameter, shaft tapers, there are just too many variables to take into account.
The main thing IMHO is to find a cue that you can stroke straight without it swinging back and forth like a banana. I had a Schon cue that I hated when it had linen on it. When I was pre-stroking for my shots I just couldn't get the cue to stroke straight. Mostly because linen slips around in your hand, unlike lacquered butts and leather and rubber grips (depending on how much you sweat while playing) I put a regular black smooth leather wrap on it and it is one of my favorite cues to shoot with. Even though it's a Schon I like it just as much as some of my other "Hi-End" cues that cost thousands!
And for those players who say they use linen because they use a "slip stroke"....LOL that's so funny. you may use a slip stroke on a few types of shots but you won't hit the side of a barn with a dirt clod using a slip stroke all of the time on a 9' or snooker table.
So even if you think you are using the same cue that one of the Pros is using....YOU ARE NOT!!!
----------------Well not sure what kind of cue a pro uses makes the difference. But back when I was about 14 years old my uncle jimmy fusco while in his prime and playing world c lass speed, played a guy by the name of efren reyes, and efren was using a bambo pool stick with like a 5 cent milk dud tip. They played one pocket and nine ball and efren came out the winner. With that being said . A great player is great no matter what cue they use.
