What cues do the pros use?????

I was wondering if there was a source or listing of the actual playing cues the pros use?

I know Mika is Mezz, etc.

I heard a while back on one of the World Masters show, Jim Wych said Rodney was using a Gus Szamboti.

I just think it would be cool to know what their choices are.
 
I know.......However, other than an advertiser patch, how would you even know what they are using?

A few years ago when Ga Yung Kim first came on the scene, she was using a Southwest. if I didn't know what a SW looked like, I never would have known that she was using a SW cue.

That is what I am talking about.
 
Rafael Martinez's playing cue ............

At a major tournament a few years back, I was having a great conversation with Rafael Martinez about his game and his ability (when he applies it).

The subject got around to Cues (since I collect) and I asked where he got
the Cue he was using in the Tournament and what type of wood was it constructed from.

His answer ... short and to-the-point : "Cue is wood ... They give to me, I play with." A quick shrug of the shoulders and that was it.

Upon close inspection, the Cue was actually a Sneaky Pete (no points) and had no maker's identification on it. Looked like a cheap house cue, but he certainly made it "sing".

Sponsorship or not has a lot to do with the selection, I would think...
 
Earl uses a Gulyassy.

I've hit with his personal cue, and it hits a ton... great great cue.
 
Two old friends of my era who are semi retired have Maddens in their case; Keith McCready and San Jose Dick McMorran (I love this man).
 
When Troy Frank won the DCC 9-ball division he was using a Cuetec and wasn't sponsored by cuetec at the time.

But as stated before whatever player gets sponsored by whatever cuemaker that is what they play with.

I thought it was a KC cue. :banghead:

So I then bought one off of EBay. :thud:
