Is this a Predator endorsement...or is this guy a real instructor?
i like the guys at Predator,<----fact
This video is embarassing<-----------another fact
If I owned Predator, I'd lose this guy fast<-------------fact
I wonder if he gambles????
What do yall think of this video?
1. It's a Predator ad, not an instructional video.
2. It's dishonest:
- Predator is not squirtless
- He steers his shots
3. It's full of misinformation:
- Terminology: deflection vs. squirt, "tips" of english, etc.
- No mention of swerve
- Wrong way to aim rail-frozen shots
- Predator doesn't produce more spin
4. It spends 8 minutes making one point (squirt happens - duh)
But:
A. Predator is lower squirt (so are lots of other cues).
B. Lower squirt can be better (although many play fine without it).

Agreed. Low-squirt cues do have less CB deflection, so you would expect slightly better accuracy with aim compensation. FYI, I have an illustration explaining this in my December '07 article (see Diagram 2). However, low-squirt cues also have disadvantages. FYI, I list both advantages and disadvantages of low-CB-deflection cues here:dr_dave...Dominic (The Drill Sargent) unfortunately has his definitions a little backwards (not to mention a couple of other things too!)...cue STICKS deflect...cue BALLS squirt...for starters! However, the underlying comments about these technological shafts, is fundamentally true. They do make it easier to estimate the amount of CB squirt...which, requires some aiming adjustment for most shots.
I couldn't tell if it was a miscue or not. I thought they just added endmass to the cue (e.g., by drilling it out and filling it with something heavy). It is not hard to dramatically increase the amount of squirt with a small amount of endmass. For more info and video demonstrations, see:The way Dominic 'missed' the edge of the CB, while showing '2 tips of english', with the normal 'custom' shaft was hilarious...it was almost like he didn't chalk the cue purposely, so it would miscue on purpose, at the right moment! LOL

Actually, "hitting the ball and rail at the same time" does work for "gearing outside English" (or when the OB is close to the pocket). For more info and lots of videos on this topics, see:...there's no such thing as 'hitting ball and rail at the same time' (although I'll admit that I fell into that camp for several years, until I learned better!).
