What do you have at all times?

Besides cues, I was wondering what everyone here has on them at all times in terms of pool related items should a game come up. I don't always bring my cues along and have occasionally been known to play a money game or two with a local bar player with a house cue. I have the following items on me as we speak :

1. It's George tip shaper/scuffer/tapper (on the key chain)
2. Pool table felt square (around 6"x6" for burnishing shaft/tip)
3. Master's blue chalk cube
4. Cash

I used to also carry a scotch-brite pad around but found that picking a decent house cue without too many gouges and just burnishing it up was less messy and worked fine.

At all times...:D :D :D

LOL. Rep points for that. How much is the asking price for the whole lot? :p (or not, gotta spread some around blah blah)

This won't be pretty, but I'll take a peek.

Let's see. I have to dig around here for a minute.
1. Tapper - It's been on my key chain for about 25 yrs. now. It's so worn down, the points are now flat.
2. Talcum bag - 15 yrs. old and still has powder.
3. Scotchbrite pad - probably 5 yrs. old.
4. Eye drops - Switched to contacts about 3 yrs. ago. Still can't see the end rail.
5. Masters Chalk - 4 pieces, blue. Refuse to use anything else.
6. Red Circle Cue Ball - Most of the tourneys in this area use them.
7. Jump Cue Handle - Someone stole the shaft years ago and still looking for it. Damn, that stick jumped great.
8. Stop Pain - a spray on pain reliever for bad joints and sore muscles. I hate getting old.
9. Plane Ticket - for the BCA National in Vegas from 2 yrs. ago. What's that doing in there?
10. I don't know what it is, but I reached into the last zippered pocket and something bit me. Hey, Varney, can I borrow your heater and get this critter?
11. And, oh yeah, a crying towel. It's nice to be able to offer it to your opponent after you rip 'em a new one.

have cues will travel..

4 cubes of Master brown, a ultimate tip tool rarely need to use it but keep it on hand for those special moments! A roll of quarters for the bar boxes when needed (also a less lethal alternative to the Glock when it is really needed! ) a piece of cloth for cue cleanup and last but not least a bottle of contact drops!:)

2X4 case with my Main cue with 2 shafts and a B/J cue.
Cue Cube brand Shaft Slicker & Burnisher.
Tip Tapper on a Little 8 or 9 ball Key chain.
Pocket Chalker.
Magnetic Chalk Holder.
4" Long 1/2 moon shaped sander with Sand paper inserts.
Moose Bridge head.
8 or 9 ball hand Towel.
Nick Varner Shaft Papers.
2 Folded up "Umbrella" plastic bags that you get at Wal mart when you walk in with a wet Umbrella, they have them at some grocery stores also.
It rains allot here, so if you put one on from each end, it keeps your case nice & dry.

And Her:

in my car i'll always have atleast 3 cubes of full chalk (no gay chalk holders) in case i goto the bars to make a quick buck. The rest of my "tackle box" usually consists of a tip pick, and a square of that green scotch pad. Those three items can make any hidously disfigured warped plastic tipped house cues play decent enough to make a score. I do have some funny stories involving ppl realizing i was importing my own chalk.

-Ultimate tip tool
-Q wiz
-Masters chalk (blue)
-Gum
-Books
-PSP
-Ipod
-Extra tips
-Emery board
-Cue silk

Yes, my case is cluttered and I hate it. But I would rather have a cluttered case and have everything I need than be in a pinch because I don't have something.

Wow, Kev! I gotta admit... in the past I just thought you were arrogant and self-righteous. Now I can see that you are clearly crazy. The fact that you carry a gun AND a knife with you at all times isn't really that big a deal (depending on your neck of the woods) but compound that with your remarkable ego and it suggests to me that you probably have some sort of severe inferiority complex.

Where can I get one of these to carry with me at all times?

They don't come from Russia, so you can't mail order em!!!!!!!!:D

Best place to meet Girls is the Grocery store, weekdays after work or on a Saturday mid morning. Just ask them to for some help picking something out. Girls Love to shop.:D

woof woof woof...I hear a little doggie barking. Considering your past remarks towards me...I guess I should of expected the slanderous post from you.

As if anyone cares...the reason I do carry is just look at the world. In this area you are surrounded by thugs & gangsters. If you carry cues/cash...you better be known to be packin'...or face seriously getting robbed in the pool room parking lot. I've been shot in the back once...I'm a bit better prepared now. When & if the SHTF...I'll protect me & my family/friends. In fact I've been known to carry two guns. I believe in the old saying..."better to carry it everyday & not need it, than to need it & not have it"!!!;)
I guess the reason 99.9% of all LEO carry a gun & knife at ALL times is because of their "severe inferiority complex" too.
The words of Montgomery Gentry ring true..."you live your life & I'll live mine.";)

I carry daily as well, but I think the difference is the fact that you brag about it..... does that really serve any purpose and make you look any cooler?

No it doesn't make me look or be one bit "cooler". Though it might serve a purpose. In my circles I'm clearly known as not one to try and jack. Due to my business...I'm often in less than stellar areas after dark...picking up work or delivering cues. My rep simply allows me to visit some really dangerous places & simply walk in and out without issue. We have some places you simply aren't safe. Some of the eager youngsters are warned by elders in their room...that I may not be their best "mark".;)

This thread degenerated quick.

Let's get back on track

Joint protectors
small mouthwash bottle (you never know)
Playing cue
eye drops
Sledgehammer break cue
small mouth wash
Q Clean sanding papers
out of date APA league card
APA schedule
red circle cue ball
brass tip tapper
Willard dime and nickle, cue cube with drilled out nickle and dime on a chain
small baby powder bottle with talc in it
big red chewing gum
chalk on a stick
plastic round shaper with sandpaper on it
small bottle of rubbing alcohol
Slip Stic
I really do carry all of these items with me, and switch from case to case.
