I am curious as to what you guys prefer to keep your game sharp? Do you prefer practice, gambling, league play or tournament play?
Playing with my Buddy 1 Hole, as he is a strong "B" Player, and he make me work real hard to be able to best him.
So you practice?, will your buddy play me some one hole as I am an okay B player but always looking for a game.
It takes a combination of things. There isn't just one thing to keep you sharp.
All the practice in the world can't match the thrill of 2 hours of competition.
All the competition in the world, can't match the value of 15 minutes of perfect practice!

I hit balls like a madman! For the last few weeks I have been practicing 3 to 5 hours a day here at home. My table is just right.....GC4 clone with 4-3/8 pockets.
I rarely use drills, mostly rack and play out 10ball. When I'm having issues with a shot, I make notes on my chalk board to work on.
I used to think you had to hit tourneys or gamble to get better, but after hearing SVB's story and how he got so good, I installed my table and got to work. It's paying off.
