What happened to Mike Sigel in Paris?

Too bad SVB does not play in this tour, then it would be called the Steve Van Tour.

He would drill holes through these Euro types over and over, event after event.

You are sooooooooo right. Please PM me for a bet though - every time SVB is playing an international tournament, event after event. I hate my money, so you can have him against the field - even money. Every time. Thats the kind of guy I am.

I believe the match Mike forfeited was that one that would have put him in the final 32 elimination bracket.

Did not have a chance? You have got to be kidding me.

You are wrong. Mike Sigel had to win 3 matches, including the one he forfeited, to reach the final 32 single elimination. Still a long way.

Sigel in top form against SVB....wow, that would be awesome. SVB could turn down the hearing aid and Mike could talk all he wanted. Perfect match for both.

Well, this is fairy tale land, but I would have taken a ticket on Mike, but, rooted for SVB!!

According to the official chart, Mike wound up in 65 place. If that is accurate, a win would have put him in the final 34.

Joe

Sorry Joe, that´s not correct.
One more win and he would be place number 49th.
Another win and he would be place 33rd.
And after the third win he would be in the last 32 and be at least 17th.

So like we europeans mentioned before, he had to win three more matches to be in the LAST 32 SINGLE EIMINATION !!

Sorry Bill

You can look by yourself HERE.
It is the bracket in wich Mike Sigel was playing, one of the 8 qualification brackets to the last 32. There is 4 qualified player per bracket, 2 from the winner side and 2 from the loser.

Maybe you should look at the brackets again. The guy that Sigel forfeited to, lost his next match, and has a 49 under his bracket. The guy in the next bracket, who lost, finished in 33 {33 thru 48th}. So, he actually needed to win the forfeit, and 2 more to make the final 32.

Yes that's exactly what I said, he had to won 3 matches to enter the last 32.
