Obviously the first reason was losing Peg Ledman.
The economy didn't help either.
But the sponsors basically telling the WPBA what they can or cannot do is a formula for failure.
And that is what happened.
As far as I am concerned, they had blinders on and would not listen to common sense.
There were a couple of other instances that the WPBA caused themselves a lot of problems - including one where I was 'trying' to do a number of events - but the woman and men would both have to be allowed to play. The WPBA said OK - then the APA protested - event though it had nothing to do with the BCA Pool League.
Short sighted on all of their parts!
