Well, I think there is not a "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Post" policy. So, you should be fine.

[humor off] :p

Brian, I believe a better and more correct term here is "facist"...maybe you guys could start using "fAZist". I think it might be better and more to the point. "Nazi" is a term that many, many others throughout the world still hold in complete and utter disdain and it's just about right down there with many of the ethnic slangs and derogatory terms.

Just my thoughts. Maybe you or Jimbo could help drive the change over there and throw me a bone ($), like hopefully he did with his "design theft" heist of the US Army's logo. LOL   You guys take care.

I hear ya. Personally, I never use the term 'nAZi'.

Its not my cup of tea. I'm 1,000% opposed to racism, anti-semitism, bigotry, and discrimination of any kind. And while 'nAZi' is in no way a reflection of this, the term 'nazi' is reminiscent of some very harsh times.

as long as your not bare@ssed its fine with me.

I post at both sites. This site has more traffic so it get's more posts. However I have friends (not just internet people anymore) that I have made from Jimbo's forum. I have shot pool with these people, drank and ate with these people and hung out with these people.

At the core of jimbosarmy.com is a group that would do anything for each other and that is a great find.

Im proud to say I am a member there and I am proud to call them my friends.

Welcome Willee, maybe we can recapture the old RSB spirit. As you say, we'll see. Jim may still disagree with you, but you know that and that is part of what I like about him. I probably won't disagree with you... I'm the son of an alcoholic father, we try to keep everybody in a peaceful state. lol.

Well I have got my response and it would seem Jimbo is the same old Jimbo.
I offered an opportunity and he responded.

I am glad that I provided so many with so much enjoyment on RSB but hopefully I have grown beyond that type of behavior.
That is his house and he has made it clear he would rather take the opportunity to showcase his superior verbal assault skills than to try to make a friend.
That is not a problem with me and I will respectfully and quietly leave his house.
I understand that all great intellects need a worthy opponent to practice their skill and impress their buds but I am no longer a player.
(if I ever really was)
I am sure you will find some fresh meat on Jimbo's forum from time to time but I just dont find that stuff funny anymore.

I think you misinterpreted what I meant by saying "that's what I like about him". What I like is his candor and honesty, not the entertainment value. As a matter of fact I don't find it entertaining. However, Jim is wysiwyg (What you see is what you get) and sometimes he is harsh as a result. I didn't see anywhere he jumped on you over there after you joined, but I could have missed it.
And what I refer to as the spirit of RSB is not the argumenting, but that does come with the territory unavoidably. The spirit of RSB is the spirit of the original internet back in the "old days". The internet once it reached outside the military realm was propagated in the spirit of freedom with all it's risks and costs.
I hope you participate on the site but if you don't want to, so be it.
Steve.

OK ... perhaps that is a bit to much candor and honesty about how I feel.
I apologize.

back seat driving - You get behind the curtain

What a (not unexpected) train wreck. As a former operator of chat rooms and message boreds, IMHO, I see in this thread less understanding of a site's management than is deserving. As a site becomes more popular, much individuality is lost, stories get 3 sided, egos get bruised, regulars hammer their side onto management and by NECESSITY, management must alter their SOP. The dynamics require enforcement when the crowd gets unhappy. Unfortunately, then the "C" word gets bandied about (censorship, not the other, lol).

But hey - YOU try keeping everyone happy on a site with hundreds of people posting regularly. It drives you friggin' nuts, I promise you. And at some point when you hear 10 regulars saying "so-&-so" has made their experience here intolerable - and you do your honest best to make peace and rein in "so-&-so" - but still more riots are incited... Hey, for the best of the site, there comes a time when so-&-so must go, no matter how big (or small) the swingin' d**k may appear to be. Maybe the 10 complainers are being feeble and weak, regardless, for the sanity and for the benefit of all...

My experience shows that often times the "strife-makers" have lost some critical perspective and abused common courtesy. It's made all too easy behind their anominity.

Everybody can have an opinion as to when and where to draw the line, there is no hard and fast rule. But, unless you've been behind the curtain, it's difficult to know how you'd respond in their position.

Peace,

Matt < slides 2 cents over to reasonable site operators
