i would call a push and tie the 3 and the 7 up and leave the cue ball on the rail at the top left of the diagram. if he gives it back to me, i would play safe off of the right side of the 1 and try to get the 6 between the 1 and the cue ball. at the very least, making him work for it.
How would you tie them up? Specifically.
Also, if you can play safe off the R) side of the 1, it can be made. it is a bar-box too!
According to your description, this is a fairly easy jump. If you can also put a little bit of right english, its great.
I think pushing out is the wrong shot, you have to jump this ball in or play safe behind the 6. If you jump, you have to hope you pocket the 1 and done a. fly off the table or b. over run your position. Whenever you jump, your pocketing % goes down, so if you dont jump well, I would kick either 1 or two rails (whichever you can make the best full hit with) and bring the 1 to the other end. Leave the cueball behind the 6.
Personally, I would jump it. You only need to get over a tiny bit of the 8 and position to the 2 seems pretty natural.
