I agree not worth the bother for the few bucks saved. I was more curious if these are just some wet boxes of Master chalk that weren't dried properly or some from a bad mix.

I started using RMC (Russian Magic Chalk) some years back. While the name is a little corny, It really is a pretty damn good product for the money.
If Tweeten has screwed the pooch on this I'll definitely check it out.

I've noticed the same thing, also, the blue seems to a brighter blue as well...

Are you sure it isnt chinese knockoff Mastar chalk?
Don't chalk with your bridging hand. A lot do, but when you do that, your hand gets a bit underneath the tip, with chalk falling over your hand. When you brush the chalk with your other hand, the stroking hand, it should be completely on top of the tip, no chalk getting all over it.
It's interesting though to see the chalk is getting on the pad of your hand, which tells me the table must be pretty dirty to do this.

This how you know you don't just play pool, your a pool player. No biggie, embrace the blue! That or get some taom V10 and forget about stained hands, cue, and table ever again.
I hunt old masters blue chalk personally. I found several stashes over the years and think I have enough to last my life

I was in a antique store in Denvertown during Covid and found a new box of 12 cubes of pre flag Masters. It was $4.00, I don't believe there is a huge difference between the old and the new but stashed it with my other 50 cubes of old Masters.I hunt old masters blue chalk personally. I found several stashes over the years and think I have enough to last my life
Since then I had a couple of pieces of V10 gifted to me and I really like it. I play a fair amount and don't believe I will ever get into the second piece.
It really seems to not wear out.

So, when I came home today and looked at my chalk stash, I also have: half a box of pre-flag, a box of the "greener" blue and a lighter blue like on your picture. The lighter blue seems dryer and dusts like crazy, immediately when chalking. I have 4 cubes of those. I think they were little gifts in other orders of pool supplies. Just confirms your experience, Lou.

I used Master in the past and the color got on my hands and table. I switched to G2 and I haven't looked back. I practice several nights per week and play BCA and I have been using the same cube for over 6 months. It comes with metal in the bottom for a magnetic holder. It goes on really smooth and never gets on your hands and table. Even when I am doing draw drills, I only chalk up every 5or 6 shots.
Didn’t know that but that doesn’t automatically mean that’s the issue in this case.

Also, the table was just recovered. I played with an older cube today and there was little chalk on the pad of my hand.

Interesting that y'all brought this up. I also have noticed how much my hand gets covered. But especially my shaft and ferrule. I brush when I chalk not grind or anything and I've never had to clean my shaft and ferrule this much. I've used Masters my whole life but it's just ruining my shafts. Might have to break down and try Taom
Thats the other one I use, i think it's around the same price.
