What is your Favorite Pool Item You Own?

This is easy: It would have to be my cue, a circa 1964-65 domino Gina. I am the original owner and it has always been my playing cue, so as you can imagine we've been through a lot together.
 
My Cantando box cue. Not because it is valuable or beautiful, but because it is the symbol of a friendship with a great man. Art made me a cue...I may never get over that one.
 
My trusty old purple heart sneaky pete that was made by a friend. It is a true sneaky in every way and has the oldest yellowest ivory ferrule I have ever seen. I have sold cues from $20-$20,000 but I will never sell this one. It has traveled to many miles and never let me down. From the hot humid weather in the gulf coast to the freezing cold of the northeast and it is still straight as can be.
 
note book

Took a two day course from Stan Shuffett and the book with the notes
about my stroke etc.... Been diging through it alot these days and have
made some good improvements in my game.Also in that note book is a
slip of paper that I sat out in front of the US open last year on a table
and took some notes on the mental game from the Hillbilly .I sometimes
think if I could really grasp what is in that book I would take it and lock
it in a safe and mark it classified ....:cool:

Yep- it's a nice cue- I've shot around a bit with it (his dad's SW is even fancier).;)

Wow, that's a tough one. Too many things.

I would have to go with my Schick, pictures taken of me and Willie, and the ones he signed for me, and my Justis case.
 
My first South West cue. Franklin model made in about 1986, if I remember right. Used to belong to Brad Simpson. Stunning combination of macassar (sp?) ebony forearm, tulipwood butt and points and birdseye maple handle, no wrap, 6 points ALL HIGH(!), 3 shafts w/South West jp's, and the best hit of any cue I've ever picked up. I don't take it out of the house anymore. It's too valuable. I can't afford to lose it.

Next would be my table.. 9 ft Diamond Pro.

#1...My first cue my dad bought me in 1979, an Abe Rich Hustler, priceless

#2...the Voodoo Daddy cue Pete Ohman made for me that was featured in Inside Pool in 2007, again priceless.

#3...the signed $20 I got from Johnny Ervolino after a sweat bet. I always said a Johnny $20 was like $50 American!!!

1. My mint condition program from the 7th Annual Johnston City Jamboree,
given to me by a certifiable billiards fanatic. I passed it on to
Ragbug74, another fanatic.

2 and 3. My Gus Szamboti's. Original purchase price...$140 and $200.
 
I have a towel from the camel tour that was at the riv in vegas in about 2002 signed by Earl Strickland. Was the towel they gave him to use, he signed it and handed to me and said heres something to remember me by.

Me and a buddy sat behind him the whole match and did alot of talking to him. Then went to the bar and bought him a couple drinks. Was a very good time and something ill never forget.

Today sadly it is packed away due to moving about 4 times since then, but when i get a new house with a room for a table ill get it out and show it off.
 
O.K I'll bore you all with sentimental bullshit..

My Cue... because

the last time I saw my Grandmother was Christmas 2006..

She passed away February 2007

I received a meager inheritance check in April

with that money I bought an understated quality cue.. very plain.. very simple.. A production McDermott.. that has a blue ring in the butt that matches her eyes.. and a brown one that matches my eyes...

it was a "Cue of the month" and the date carved into the butt is "Dec. 2006"

That's a true story...

My autographed photo of Willie Mosconi. "Best Wishes, Willie Mosconi" I admired it at the local hall, (I was younger at the time), and the owner took it and handed it to me. Framed on my wall downstairs. :)

Someday, I'll be able to display all my stuff, and the JC program will be proudly featured.


....and believe me, if one of the Szam's ever comes my way, it'll skyrocket to the top of my list, no question!
 
I would have to say my playing cue. I know it is not a custom BUT it has the most amazing piece of birdseye maple, awesome cocobolo, and a sweet black leather wrap. There is nothing I can do to make it look better than it does in my eyes.
 
I would run into a burning house to grab my Falcon....

I've never found a cue that hits as sweet as mine, and I've played with some expensive customs.
 
Have to be my cue case. Not the finest, but the Swedish poolplayer Henrik Larsson (Think he won WC to, wheelchair class, but still a World Champ!) got it for beeing the best player in the European Championship. (In 2005 i think). He gave it to a friend of mine, but he didnt need it anymore, so i bought it for about 100$.
