I've never played Carom so I guess its my least favorite. Bu tI love anything that has to do with pool in general.

9-ball

the break is too important and not as 'fair' as 10-ball.

bar table 9/6 ball

Funny thing, I was thinking about this last night. Bar table six ball is my least favorite game. I only make a ball on the break playing six ball maybe 20-30% of the time at best. I win more than my share playing nine ball on a bar table but then to pass the bet back over and over dry breaking six ball is annoying.

Kinda funny, I played with a kid awhile back that always racked the six ball game first. Naturally the breaks went the same but I was the one collecting the money last. Seemed much better.

I have played three, four, and six ball and hate them all. I break dry too often and the game is usually over after a dry break. Eight, nine, one-pocket, most games you at least have a good chance at a look at the table plus my eight and nine ball breaks are respectable and my one-pocket break ain't bad.

I think I hate 1P the most- only because I hate rolling balls around and considering them good shots. I like to pocket balls, otherwise I get bored.

Doesn't mean I don't respect the hell out of the game, though.

straight pool brings out the worst in me, man if I can miss a ball I'll find a way to do it playing straight pool.

I don't have one.

If I'm at a table knocking balls around in any game, I'm in hog's heaven.

One-pocket

My least favorite is One-Pocket, and this is only because I don't competely understand it. I've been trying to get an old-timer around here to teach me, but we can never get together on a time. Guess I need to run over to Carolina and visit with Grady.

I just can't stand it when I miss an open shot at the beginning of what should have been a nice run. Because now it's my opponent's nice run, and I get to sit straight back down and watch it. I'll be out of rhythm and annoyed by the time I stand back up, and I'll miss a straight-in shot early in that run, too. It's the most infuriating game I know, because missing costs so very much.

Rotation

I pick rotation because only bangers play these game in the pool hall I play and you have to be on the look to avoid the balls flying out of the table because they always shoot with break speed to fluke a ball, they always play in pairs and always have an additional 8 or more people standing and talking next to the pool table...#!%$#&#^$$@#
If things were different I would choose one pocket because it is way too defencing and slow for me..

never played one pocket or rotation but at the moment i would say 8-ball i dislike the most. i hate the mess the table can get in most the time. it's nice when the balls are open though, but there again isnt every game like that.

one pocket. it's too passive agressive for me. i like to shoot not bunt balls around. it tends to favor the less agressive player

8 ball is the most detestable game that can be played on a pool table, out of the ones you listed. If I had learned to play somewhere that 8 ball was played by the serious players, I might feel differently. 8 ball was only played by kids and beginners where I played. 9 ball would be next on my list because of one-foul, ball-in-hand. I see Cutthroat posted several times, but I've never played it.

BarBox 8-Ball with "Sissy" Rules ...

I can't stand to watch or participate in Bar Room 8-Ball, especially when they make up the rules as the game progresses because "you" are so much better than the opposition ... NO Safeties, NO Ball-in-Hand, Touch any ball and it's a foul ... Touch the Cue Ball when it scratches and it's Loss of Game ... Totally Backwoods, Sissy, Retarded Pool in my opinion ... Mention BCA Rules and you are ejected from the Bar ...

Bar Room 8-ball is my least favorite. The bars around here all have different rules that they play by, so if you happen to want to play in you have to stop and think about which bar you are in and which rules they use. I wish they would all just use BCA rules and that would get rid of a large number of misunderstandings between players.

I also can't stand cut throat.
