I voted for linen but I like them all. Right now I play a cue with no wrap but all types have qualities I like.

I figured that the Irish Linen wrap would be the most popular choice (just realized I misspelled "linen" lol), but I wonder if that's because the Linen is simply the default wrap that cues come with, and so people get used to them?

My current cue has a Linen wrap, but after having tried some friend's cues with the sport wrap, I am in love with it, and just ordered a new Predator Sport.

All I've known is irish linen and wrapless, so I didn't vote. Irish linen does the trick for me, but I'd like to try a leather wrap. I like wrapless, but it has a tendency to make the skin on my thumb sore and having a wrap is preferable when my hand gets sweaty.

If you want to include Cortland in the category of Irish Linen, then that's my choice.
It was good enough for George Balabushka & Cortland is good enough for me too.

Not a choice here, but I like Tiger's stack wrap. I am surprised it's not more popular, I suppose due to the cost. Mine was put on about 8 years ago by Tiger and is still perfectly intact. It has the best qualities of both leather and wrapless. It doesn't wear down like leather, is not sticky to the touch like wrapless (once broken in), can be finished or left unfinished, absorbs hand moisture, is warm to the touch and feels great on the hands. Basically, it's a cue performance feature in my book.

I am strongly in favor of 'no wrap'!..I think it is important to feel all the nuances of your cue stick (and your stroke) with your bare hands..To me, any wrap at all robs a person of that perspective..That could be why you never see a baseball player, with any kind of wrap on his bat!..Why would anyone want to sacrifice 'feel', for comfort?

PS..If 'sweaty hands' are your reason for needing a wrap, they have a great new invention..Its called a towel! :p

Leather for me. Never really liked the feel of linen. Would take no wrap over linen, but always prefer to go with leather.

I answered wrapless.
Used to play with Irish Linen or leather and never felt comfortable.
Once I went with wrapless I NEVER looked back.

Sorry to all the Cork responders. I had thought about including Cork as an option, but I figured it was too obscure to merit many responses.

My bad.
