Inside Pool just called to let me know my subscription is about to run out. I have subscribed for the last 4 years. Keith doesn't write for them anymore and that happened to be one of my favorite reads.(sorry Grady I am not a one pocket player) This is the only magazine I have ever subscribed to. So, which magazine do you guys like best?

My favorite used to be the American Cueist, but I haven't seen it in years. Used to have this great story about this kid and a man named Diamond Jim (?). It has been 6 or 7 years since I've seen it.

I guess Billiards Digest now.

Billiards Digest clearly has the smartest and best looking columnists, but they should pay them more.;)

I liked IP best, but I dropped that subscription too. I'd rather just read a good novel.

Always been partial to Billiards Digest.

I'd buy the magazine just to read George Fels column he has a way with words. Philw

BD and IP

I subscribe to Billiards Digest and recently started Inside Pool. I stopped getting Pool & Billiard magazine many years ago b/c they have way too many advertisements and too little informative articles. I hated paying for a subscription just to read a mag with alot of ads. IP has good local tournament coverages. Billiards Digest has been around a long time and does a great job on players interviews and tournament coverages.

If I could only subscribe to one pool magazine, it would be Billiards Digest hands down. I look forward to your articles too Bob.:)

I prefer BD because of Bob Jewett, George Fels and Mark Wilson and I am pissed off that Marks column has been reduced to a one question and answer, one column thing. I'm considering dropping my subscription because of that one change. Marks column was the PRIMARY reaon I liked the rag... but if I drop it I"ll sure miss George and Bob so I'll probably keep BD coming but I'll continue to be a pissed off subscriber

I used to have all three (IP, BD and P&B) when all I thought about was pool. Now, I just have BD and am satisfied with an occasional article.

I like BD the most and then IP. I think P&B is too expensive. Has anyone noticed that BD is much thinner that it use to be? I use to get it in the mid 90's. Then took about a 10 year break and started to get it again and to my surprise it is now about 1/2 the thickness it use to be. Maybe the older editions had more ads in them....never really compared them, although I still have all my old copies and some of them still with the plastic protector on them.
