Let Santa bring the IPT a profit. Poolplayers seem to focused entirely on how much they can earn, and not on whether the IPT is profitable.
So many think that there's nothing to lose here, but the truth is that, by throwing big money at it, The IPT is putting the professional pool product to the ultimate test, and we can all rest assured that all would-be corporate investors in our sport will be watching carefully on thie sidelines. There's everthing to lose, but also everything to gain.
The IPT will either substantiate or wipe out the commonly held notion that pro pool can't deliver a substantial profit to its proprietors and investors. If the IPT venture succeeds, it will make it much easier to sell pro pool to corporate sponsors.
So, Santa, put a little profit under the IPT Christmas tree, for their sake, but also for the sake of those of us who so badly want to see pro pool succeed.

First on my yearly missal to Santa was a straight pool match with Efren. Last year at DCC I had one sort of lined up as soon as he got knocked out of the 9-ball or one-pocket tournament. Unfortunately (for me), he ended up winning both disciplines. I desperately would like to add him to the somewhat distinguished list of players that have thrashed me at straight pool. My llist so far = Danny D., Grady M., Johnny Archer, Sarah Rousey, Jeanette Lee, George Breedlove, SJM, Bob & Kenny (2 guys that work the line down at GM, but can shoot the eyes off the ball).
Second on my list was a trip to Chicago for one of their straight pool tournaments and a chance to meet the Sailor in person - it would be a great honor.
Third on my list is another weekend in St. Louis for a lesson extravaganza at the Billiards Bullpen with Mark Wilson (and of course some schmoozing/woofing/pool with Sarah R., zeeder, Zim, Crusher, mini-Crusher, Brian and all the other pool fanatics in the area).
Fourth on my list is a wish for a great holiday, and a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year for all those here at AZB with a true love for the game. It would have been first on my list, but, hey, its all about me.
