What production cue is your favorite?

If you were buying a production cue right now what would it be? Predator,Schon,Mezz,McDermott,OB,Joss...etc? And what shaft would your prefer on the cue?

Schön, Pechauer, Joss, in that order. I always get 2 shafts. Standard 13mm and a 12.75mm.

I have a Pechauer and the fit and finish is on par with Schon.
The Joss cues I have seen are a notch below Pechauer and Schon in fit and finish.
Now I have only seen the lower priced Joss cues. Maybe the higher end ones are better. But if we are talking about playability only, a Joss would figure in for me.So my list would be in no order
Schon
Joss
McDermott
Adam Balabuska
Pechauer
And thats pretty much all the production cues that I have handled and shot with.
There are certainly more good ones to consider.
Also I'm a standard shaft person. Might change the tip.
If you said you get one cue to play with forever I would choose a Schon.

I currently have a plain jane birdseye Mcdermott with whatever shaft was standard, I don't even know. I got it last year from a guy who just had it sitting in the plastic for over ten years. It had never even been hit. For $200, I am thoroughly impressed. I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon. It just feels right. I have hit a few of the other names, they are really nice too, but I still prefer my Mcdermott. Maybe I just haven't come across anther that suits me.

Schon with a OB shaft and a Everest tip is my preference. I can't find anything wrong with this combination.

I have played with (each for a significant amount of time) Nick Varner, Joss, Andy Gilberts, Ariel Carmelli, Schons, and Dale Perry (ebay variety). After quitting for a few years recently I was sucked back in a year ago. My decision was easy for a new cue combination.

Dale Perry w/ 314 2 / Moori hard. Impossible find a better value IMO.
About $200 - 300 depending how you buy your shaft

BTW - to round out your case - J & J BJ with white diamond tip.
$75

Best way to roll - under $300 out the door and you can still sell it for gas money if you get stuck busted 2 states over.

I've been impressed with the quality nd playability of the Mezz cues that I have tried. If I ever end up buying a production cue, it will most likely be a Mezz. In fact, recently, I've switched the shaft on my Gilbert break jump to a Mezz Deep Impact Pro and have been very satisfied with it.

Schon i reckon.Std shaft....can't cope with the low deflection jobbies.
Some of the Mcdermotts look nice......not sure what they play like though

I play with a Predator ikon with a 314-2 30" shaft, Moori quick tip with a wafer. I love this cue, the look, the hit and feel

I'm playing with a schon, standard shaft, with kamui ss tip, and experimenting with a fat shaft , same tip on it. I like the hit both ways, alot. That said, I have a couple of Pechauers with 314-2 shafts, (both for sale actually) and I'm really impressed with the quality. My first experience with Pechauers, but if I didn't have my schon I think I'd play one of the Pechauers. jmo

Production

I agree with that other guy...
Schon with an OB shaft.
My second choice would be a Mezz with the w700 shaft.

I like to play with a Dale Perry (E-bay) with a McDermott I-3 shaft. Perfect balance and feel. I also play with a Schon, and again, with a McDermott I-3 shaft. The 11.75mm tip gives me a sense of geometric precision.
