I'm sure Dennis (or any other cue maker) is getting rich from the secondary market selling cues that he made over 10 years ago (and sold for < $500).

In other words, if you want to talk about "hype" on the secondary market, fine. But don't drag a cue maker's current prices into THIS discussion.
Tony gets big bucks for his cues now. Wonder why...... Wait...... maybe because he paid his dues for years and now people want to pay for the product he produces.
The OP thinks $3k for a conversion is too high. Great for him. Don't buy it. But don't disparage one cue maker to prove your opinion of another cue maker. Buy or don't buy. Let your dollars do the talking.
