What tables do they use at APA finals in August?

Are they diamond tables or valleys?

If they are diamonds I'm looking to practice up on them locally at the poolhall across town. Otherwise I have a valley available, thanks.

APA Nationals use Valley Tables.

Cool, no need to travel and practice diamonds, I have a valley downstairs.

You live in Vegas yearround? What else do you do around there except eat and gamble? It looked pretty barren flying in 2 months ago when I was there.

Life is busy no matter where you live. It is good that I don't gamble - in casinos or in pool or I would bust, lol. One thing that ruined for me living in Vegas is that because food is so great here when I travel to other places, I don't enjoy food as much.

Other than going out to food, I'm a home body (when I'm in town), so I can't help you much. I've been wanting to go do this for about a year, but haven't found anyone to go do with http://bcflightlines.reachlocal.com...ightlines.reachlocal.net&pub_cr_id=5091483102

ps. have you tried the spell check? It's funny :D

Yeah, my brother in law just moved down south from Vegas. He did the same things everyone else does in a city other than gamble. Odds are against you winning (not that it doesn't happen sometimes). When I get ahead, I quit ahead. No way I'm giving it back to the Casino. You sit/stand there long enough, they are going to get it back, and most likely, a little bit/a lot of yours to go with it.

Are you insane? You'll never find someone to do that with. Might have to wait a few more years to find someone crazy enough..

They say it reaches speed of 60mph! It's Zip Line on steroids!

I will find 3 adventurous people to go it with. I think they book groups of 4 at a time :(

I have a hunch that the APA sends scouts all over the country recruting the worst playing valleys in the land and ship them all to the Riviera for the National Championship. Good luck!

Still not good (bad) enough, unless your table has beer stains, bad lighting, obstructions, bad rails, slow cloth and etc. There are other threads that complain about how bad the table and conditions are.

I checked that out and that would probably be a "scary ride" for me. I can barely tolerate a ferris wheel. Maybe somebody else going out there would do it.

I'll do the zip line with you...

I love stuff like that...

I'll be in Vegas for both the Masters and the 8-Ball...

I am no fan of the APA but when I was there several years ago I thought the tables were fine and the event was done well. Yes they are valleys but it isn't like people haven't played on them before to know what to expect. 7' Valley's no matter the condition should be a shooting range to anyone with any skill.

They contract out to a company that supplies Valley's Barbox

I would get myself the cue ball that the tournament uses, so you could dial in your position play. I went to the National Tournament last year (team 8-ball) and that year they used Aramith balls. The cue-ball was the new Valley Cougar Aramith cue-ball. It is a magnetic cue-ball with a green aramith logo. Some people call it a "Mudball". I think it also has a green Cougar logo on it, but not positive.

The cloth was Mercury Ultra cloth. I had no real issues with any of the tables in the main tournament room. The Mini-tournament room tables take a beating, and by the end of the week the practice tables in the various side rooms are shot and beat to hell. It is funny home many people steal the balls from the tables. Outside of the tournament room all tables were a $1 coin to play.
