zeeder said:My hope is both Skip Weston and Andy Gilbert. Skip does some truly awesome work! I've been spoiled by his hardwood "veneers" and outstanding point work. He also does some of the cleanest inlay work I've ever seen. Andy Gilbert does great work too, but, in my opinion, his point and inlay work isn't quite on the same level as Skip's yet. Of course I think they both play great...lol.
I'd like to get me a Gilbert player to go along with my J/B but I'm not buying anymore cues...lol. We've got a couple of us together for a support group if anyone else cares to join.![]()

Well with Skip a few years ago he tried to go full time but circumstances beyond his control required he go back to the grind for benefits. So his production is way down to 20-30 cues / year. This is one reason that I haven't been bothering him for cues. In a time where even the most classically trained cue makers are converting to cnc and living with tiny radii, Skip is going back to ultra sharp inlays.
You not buying anymore cues?? Yeah, and there will be no more suicide bombings in Iraq...
