What's your favorite time to go to the pool room

Mine has to be Sunday mornings. I'm the only one there, play a few racks, relax drink some coffee, play a few more racks, reflect on past racks or life in general, there's no distractions, no jukebox, and no idiot's.

That's mine, When's your's??
 
you hit the nail on the head with that one. as a matter of fact i am getting ready to go there now !
 
Yes sir..sundays are good.matter of fact I am sitting here wanting to go,have to wait another half hour..pool hall doesn't open until ten..its almost coffee time.you guys enjoy your Sunday morning.
 
Any time but Monday between noon, and 3PM. The Ladies club come in, take over,the noise level increases, and the smell of 50-60 different purfumes is gagging!
 
usually the morning when the oldtimers are there having coffee, playing cards and listening to the old pool stories.
 
Any time before 6:00 pm. That's when the yahoos come in, start playing nonsense on the jukebox, and make all kinds of noise. Before that, I can relax, play at my leisure, and focus on whatever I'm doing without listening to the screaming death metal blaring on the juke box.
 
It all depends

Well if I am just running balls by myself and practicing then I like going monday nights because it isn't too humid and it isn't too busy but if I am going to play some and try to make a little money or free play time I like thursday nights.
 
Several of the guys will show up for lunch on just about any week day, around noon. After a smoked turkey sandwich with all the veggies and a glass of iced tea, a game of One Pocket is hard to beat. :)
 
I open a pool hall most days and that is my absolute favorite time. Just me and the pool gods conversing as I am doing the days diligence.
 
I like it when it's dead but I'm ok with it when there's something to look at. IfYaKnowWhatIMean. I'm sketchy like that?!

But yeah, afternoons are nice because it's not only dead enough to be quiet and for the jukebox to be turned down... but you know you got the whoooole evening of pool ahead of you.
 
No Bad time to go to the Pool Room

:Anytime I can go is my favorite time, I can go in the afternoon and go home for dinner and go back again that evening, I'm an action junky so when I'm not working or home I'll be at the best pool room on the east coast, maybe in the country. I don't have to worry about Juke Boxes with obnoxiuos music, They have satelite radio and most of the time play good stuff. :thumbup:
 
10pm. thats when the action starts around here. 10-2 any night of the week. I like it when its busy though. I play at home if I want peace and quite or just some practice. When I go out its to drink and have fun and do a little gambling. So the more people the better.
 
I prefer early a.m. (9:00) until about 2 p.m. ... before the "bangers" wake up and the head-banging music ? spews forth from the Juke Box.

The Jointed Cue (Sac) provides an enjoyable atmosphere most every day, but I have been playing the past three months at Hard Times (Sac) where most of my fellow members wander in around Noon to 2 p.m. and we are not annoyed by those things we dislike until after 6 p.m. or so.
 
Whenever I'm not sleeping. As a barbox banger I enjoy going to various bars around town and I never have trouble finding one where the music is low and the place almost empty. It also gives me the opportunity to play on tables I'll see again on league nite. Conversely....if I want eye candy or competition, I can seek out the more popular watering holes......Dan
 
i like to play at around 1-2 in the afternoon, I just seem to play better then. Home or at the pool room.


Sunday mornings after I been up a few hours are the best times at the pool room(I have to be awake for 3-4 hours before I can play) my second favorite is any afternooon from 1PM until it gets too loud.


The exception being a pool room with a players room, then friday and Saturday nights are ok, because its a players room, like Hardtimes in Sacramento.


Its all about the noise, when it goes up, Fatboy goes out....
 
I love to get there around two, and play on the big track for awhile. Usually there are a few older sharks in there then, which makes it fun. Can always play some one hole with them and learn something.
 
Im a night owl, ive went out to play at midnight and stayed until daylight. I cant make a ball when the sun is poking through the windows. I dont mind the jukebox at all, although at my local room the music doesnt get turned up too loud. Ive been to a few bars that the music is so loud that you have to scream to talk, and thats no fun. All in all though, Ill still play anytime I can, even during the dreaded daytime.

When there are three guys there who can't win with the seven and will give me the eight for more than $5 dollars a game. Make sense?
