What's your thing, other than pool?

My high school class of 1966, Provine, in Jackson, MS had the largest graduating class in the state history, 575. I was asked to do a memorial video for the classmates who have passed over the years for our 40th reunion last year. I reluctantly do updates to the video when needed. This is the link to the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIjTMpyLOQA

Bill,
I watched the video and I mean to tell you, that almost made me cry thinking about all those people that have died and their families pain.
You should get some kind of medal for being able to put that together.
I didn't know any of them but it still tugs at your heart, so I'm sure that means a lot to their families and friends.
Very nice job.

Running (actually just jogging in my declining years), soccer (futball for you Europeans:) ), and reading.

The obvious one... smoking and collecting fine cigars... and the rest... riding my Harleys, hunting (elk and ducks), fishing (winter steelheading), live blues music, and drinking beer. :)

Nice choice, brother... for me, lately, it's been Ramon Allones Special Club Coronas... love those little babies!... and just before reading your post I placed an order for two boxes of Diplo #5s... an excellent little cigar if you've never tried one.

Im a mountain biker(i love my customated Kona Kikapu) and fullheart audiophile.I almost forgot, reading P.K.Dick novels and the Witcher from Sapkowski

Aside from pool, I enjoy the following:

-was really into cars in high school. First car '67 Cougar w/ 390 big block, C6, 3.89's. GREAT car. Fiberglass front end decent suspension upgrades. Drove great and screamed.

-Guitar. Play mostly blues now, though was really into jazz fusion until pool came and eliminated the time necessary to practice enough to play that music. 2000 Fender Strat with Lindy Fralin pickups totally rewired by me. Fender Hot Rod DeVille amp with EL84 tube converters and nice nos tubes, single Celestion Alnico blue speaker. Fairly nice tone for blues. Also have a PRS custom 24. Oh yeah, and my mom's 1959 Ampeg Jet amp. (Which sounds fantastic craked up with a tube screamer in front)

-World of Warcraft. Very addictive game. I want to get the Pool Cue with +12 agility so that I can defeat the local A player so that I can get enough of his money to afford that enchantment of my case which gives me Nerves of Steel while sitting in the chair, so that I can defeat Johnny Archer, which nets me 12,000 honor points which I can trade in for the GCIV in black lacquer finish...etc...

-High end audio and video gear. I work at Tweeter (which isn't exactly high end for audio, but we sell some pretty bad ass TV's.) I really enjoy designing nice home theaters for people, home control systems. Pioneer Elite, Crestron, Martin Logan, etc. Very fun stuff to put together when its someone else's money!! I really enjoy talking to people and figuring out where they are coming from, and what would make them the happiest for their budget.

-Philosophy. This was my major in college (along with Pysch). I like thinking about thinking, the world and how it works, all that stuff. I find pool and the mental game very interesting, and love learning new techniques to focus and compete better.

That's all I can think of for now...

My interests include weight training and guitar...thinking of taking up the fiddle.

I too, was in Suwon

I used to be into that too, in high school. Unfortunately since then I haven't had any place to set up my tools so I kind of had to stop.

I also used to rock climb, but then I got injured and couldn't for about 6 months while I was healing. Which is basically how I started playing pool.

Now it's just pool. I live in Korea at the moment, all my friends are from the pool hall here, except my GF. So these days I'm either at the pool hall, or leaving the pool hall to go drink with people from the pool hall. Or with my girl.:)

I'd like to say my hobby is learning Korean, but sadly it's not something I spend enough time doing.:(

[Edit]Nice looking knife by the way!

I was in Suwon about 4 years back... the suwon station right out front of the korean air base was built while I was there. I don't know about you, but the drivers there are nuts!
Speaking of which (insert fuzzy filter and flashback tune here) I was hit by a bus when I was going to the mall. Well, I was in a taxi... but the bus freakin' hit us man! The bus (full of people) and taxi (full of my friend and me) stopped right there, in the middle of the 4 lane round about and decided to duke it out... RIGHT THERE... awesome.
I was this close to not even giving a tip... but after the fight was over my buddy said "bali blai"... greatest and most scary 2 words I've ever encountered.

The mall was 20 minutes away (without the fight) The driver was nuts... Crazy nuts... driving on the sidewalks, barely slowing down for red lights, going down allies at 50+ mph (90+kph) and just all out crazy, fast, cut a person off in L.A. traffic driving. we made it to the mall in 5 minutes.

(remove filter and cut the tunes, kill the flashback lights)

Take it easy out there, and enjoy some yaki mandu (spelling? I never did learn the language either) and soju for me!

c'mon, you aren't driving like that on 294, 355, or 88....I've been on all of 'em. Well, maybe between 1am-5am .... MAYBE. Otherwise, it's creep forward 100 ft., STOP, think you are going to get moving (up to 40mph), STOP, creep forward 25 ft. STOP, etc. :)

5) But most of all, I like to take long walks on the beach and read poetry. To talk about my feelings. My desires. My fears. I'm a libra, approx. 6'1" and 220lbs., and I guess I'm just looking for someone who likes these things as much as I do. If its you, feel free to PM me.

Damn... I always thought you may be a woman, but I would have never guessed you were that BIG...lol.

I have realatives pretty much completely surrounding you....dad grew up in Wheaton, and I have family there, Warrenville, Downer's Grove, Naperville, and the odd cousin who moved FAR AWAY to Tinley Park! :D I get up there several times a year to play golf....maybe we could meet and shoot some pool sometime.

He's not! He gave a false description to avoid any heat from his peeping tom act. My sources tell me he takes a milk crate with him to stand on so he can actually see in a window.:D
Sorry Brian...had to give you up.:)
