I'm not Jay, but how about this for an explanation:

1. If SVB were gay, but was not open about it, then making public something deeply personal about a pro player - and something irrelevant to the game - is a really shitty thing to do. This has nothing to do with whether the player's sexual preference is a good thing or a bad thing. Many women pros are "out" and are public about their relationships, so discussing the sexual orientation of those players in a respectful manner is fair game - but the pro is the one who decided to be open about it in the first place.

2. Conversely, if SVB is not gay, then wrongly starting or spreading rumours about it is also a really shitty thing to do. And it is shitty because it is wrong information about something deeply personal.
 
Psst. You wanna know what I heard? Shane really crash landed here in the 60's at area 51. He escaped in the 80's and went to no mans land South Dakota. He's originally from a small underground city on Mars. He likes long walks on the beach, fishing, and the company of middle aged lemurs.

All this drama because Shane appears to be going out with a girl who just turned 18 about 6 months ago.

At least Sierra is too young to go into bars and casinos. Probably a good thing.

Have we already forgotten about Shane's one and only true love? :eek:

You'd be less confused if you didn't assume so much....what leads you to believe they're going out.....because Jay said she was Shane's girl friend....or was the girlfriend.....I guess I'm confused....but I'll be sure and ask Shane next time I see him.

lol that's awfully generous of you. Most middle-aged guys have such high standards they would never date a young woman. :p
