I am coming out of retirement!!! I am playing Danny Greer 7 ahead over at Cues 2 on Canton highway tomorrow at 5pm. I don't know what the wager is gonna be yet. It will be pretty hefty. The game will be the 9 and the last 4 playing 10-ball. Its has been at least 15 years since i have played a match like this. It will be a GREAT show!!! The rail will be open for either side. LETS DO THIS!!!

I guess he is talking high stakes gambling, you do not see Johnny matched up alot so I guess he is going back out to do battle again thus coming out of retirement.

He had a solid gig going on that Bonus Ball thing but hat is not going to work out.

My suggestion would be to bet on JA.

Yes, Johnny, at one time was one of the best gamblers in the world. He quit in the late 90s to concentrate on tournaments.

My suggestion would be to bet on JA......he's on another level in the "gambling game".

I remember a story about Johnny playing Franscisco Bustamante a race to 13 on a tight Diamond table for a large amount and Johnny ran 13 racks to win the first set! Franscisco didn't flinch and doubled the bet in the next set after Johnny just ran the first set! I'd have been shaking in my shoes if a guy just ran 13 on me. The story goes that Franscisco won the next set after doubling the bet.

They didn't double the bet although Busty did ask. Busty won the next set and Johnny quit. Johnny did play Henny giving him the 7 ball about 5 years ago and Johnny took it off..

I can count on one hand the number of times I have heard of JA matching up real good and not taking it off....food for thought.

Danny isn't the player he used to be but he is walking the straight and narrow nowadays. I don't think Johnny is gonna make a game he isn't reasonably confident he can't outrun.

Those ATL boys sure like to get in the grease though don't they. They will fire it off at one champion after another.

an advanced physiological move and it may have worked.

He ask to double the bet, and Johnny declined....that's an advanced physiological move and it may have worked. No one can play two sets like that "back to back" and Francisco knew it.

I played Francisco and Johnny many times and they are both top notch gamblers because of their "high gear" offense. Efren played a hair better, but he didn't have the ability to barrage as well as JA and FB. imho

I find it funny how people post that it is easy to play on OPM, in reality it depends on the person. I personally play better on my own money then the money of someone else, others do not play well betting their own. I guess it all depends on the person.

Danny has been around a long time... I remember him playing back in the early 90s maybe even late 80s
the 9 and last 4 seems like a lot for the Danny I remember... BUT I think Danny was not able to play for say 5-10 years

Atlanta Danny I believe some called him.

Close.

I believe Busty wanted to double the bet, but Johnny declined and kept the bet the same. They played another set and Busty won. This was in Toledo, OH?
