When you're not playing Pool, what do you do?

blackjack: you shouldn't say that when you have an avatar like that...too many will take you serious! LOL

I spend more time away from pool now that I'm married, but I'm either doing Engineer stuff or doing exactly whatever my wife says! Sometimes I sneak off & play with my mustangs (2007 Shebly GT, 2008 Shelby GT500, '03 Cobra, '68 GT with 427...).

I hope you didn't think he was joking. :shocked2:

I am a project manager for a large non-profit organization that helps people with psychiatric disabilities try to get their lives back in order. We have veterans programs, deaf programs, justice programs, unwed mother's programs, drug dependency programs, and mobile assessment units that work on the streets to help homeless people with psychiatric disabilities.

Unfortunately I have been spending most of my time recently helping programs downsize and relocate due to state cuts.

One bright spot is that we may start construction on a federal housing project soon as part of the Wounded Warriors Act to assist those returning from Iraq with brain trauma injuries. I am really looking forward to getting that project up and running.

I am a lobsterfisherman from June - December. My winters are spent doing a large house remodeling project. If it is ever finished I might be able to do nothing but play pool in the winters.

You do a lot of great work, T. I'm proud of you and hope the federal housing project gets underway soon.

Thanks Joey, I've always admired the time and effort you have spent helping vets as well.

Now let's go out, play some pool and destroy our opponents this weekend! :D

Ride my Harley, work, school, and try to please the girlfriend, but thats about as impossible as making all 15 balls on the break!

I retired six months ago after working at Verizon for thirty-nine years.

Typical day.

Get up around 9am.

Turn on computer and put on water for coffee.

While water boils check email and the AZ forum to see if anything interesting is going. Try to contribute to forum if possible.

Eat breakfast, possibly check out AZ again and check Verizon stock quotes.

Check for any book sales, shower, and get ready to go off for a few grueling hours at the pool room.

Come back home around four-thirty and make supper. My wife still works.

Except Wednesday- I go to Providence to play in their weekly tournament.

Life's a *****.

Me exactly, except mine are 65 2+2, 66 GT350, 66 K GT coupe and a 69 428 scj coupe. Or I am drilling holes in the ground to pay for my toys.

I enjoy long walks on the beach, sitting by the fireplace watching movies and reading a good book.:)

When I'm not playing pool or attending a pool tournament as a fan:

I read a lot, particularly English Victorian fiction and 20th century non-fiction.

I go to movies, and occasionally to both the theater and the opera.

This time of year, I go to a lot of New York Mets baseball games.

I watch a lot of financial news on TV.

..... and, finally, I hang out right here on AZB.

In the summer it is golf, golf, and more golf for me. I love playing different courses... like the one behind me here...

There's never enough time for everything ...

When I am not on a Pool Table, I ......

Shoot USPSA Pistol and Multi-Gun Matches all over the West Coast.

Collect Firearms and Custom Handmade Knives.

Restore Muscle Cars from the 60's - 70's and build Hot Rods from
the 30's - 50's.

Spend time in the Desert and Mountains in search of Precious Metals and Artifacts.

And I always find time for my lovely wife of 32 years.

I have to do army stuff when im not playing pool. Im also trying to figure out how i can get an All army Pool team.

I was on Ft Benning Ga pool team back in 1992...we went to Ft Stewart, Ft Gordon, and Ft Bragg and played thier teams.....it was alot of fun....I know Ft Benning didnt have a team in 1993 after I left because not enough people wanted to do it:frown:..I know I sure had fun doing it though

I row 25-30 miles per week on my indoor rower, and hit the gym 3-4 times per week.

I only work about half the time (one-day-on-one-day-off and two-days-on-two-days-off) so I don't get too stressed out from it (plus my office is 15 yards from the beach, with a window facing it:cool:).

I try to spend some quality time with the woman everyday, as well as lavish some attention on the dogs (not so much on the cat...:p).
