WHERE ARE THE WEST COAST SHOW-Photos

I'm always amazed how few photos are taken at these shows. Works of art on display & no one considers taking a photo or two. Maybe they are reluctant due to the atmosphere...don't want to be the geek with the camera?!?!? Maybe it is subtlely discouraged?!?!?

Cue show

Just got in from the show. We had a great turn out! Lots of pictures taken.. will post tomorrow. Sorry but I'm exhausted.

You did a great job with this year's show Rex!!!!!! you're a hell of a guy for doing this for all of us. a lot of people talk about doing something good for pool but you did it.

i got a chance to kick it with some az'rs that i've never met before and some that i've already met and like.

i have no idea why but i always figured jay helfert would be a jerk but he was cool as cash. sugeknight introduced me to a friend of his from thaisland. i forgot his name but he was sucking down the wine and carrying around a szamboti with that "you need crazy weight" look in his stroke

When I left both Brad and Jay were on separate tables working over the local pool players. Now that I think about it, I think we got hustled! Brad and Jay probably came together and set us up! Can't thank both of them enough for coming to the show. They were both a ton of fun to meet and talk with. I had to corner Jay a couple of times for some old school pool stories. I even got a cool old Harold Worst and Luther Lassiter DVD from him. Jay is a walking billiards encyclopedia.

Yes Jay is one of the nicest down to earth guys out there. I wanted to hit him up for some Nick Varner stories but he was always tied up with someone. I did almost buy one of his cues though and still might. I also had the pleasure of getting to chat with Tommie for a little bit. That was a pleasure and he to is such a nice guy to talk to. KennyKoo's Szam collection was a sight to behold also. Great show and had a great time. Now get to work on my case Rex! hahahahaha

Was Jay PIMPING His book, cyrex?

Jay had some of his books and a ton of other memorabilia. He also brought some beautiful cues with him too. He had Tang Ho's playing cue which was a beautiful ebony and ashwood Kent Davis cue. And an awesome hitting Hank Corsair cue. DVD's, posters, books.... like Lazerrus said, there was hardly a moment when he got a chance to just sit and relax alone.

Some pics...

I was up there to display Ariel Carmeli Custom Cues. Here's some pics from my phone camera - I have not gone through the fancy camera yet.

In the last pic are some of Jim Pierce's work.

Thanks to Rex and DJ for putting this all together! I had a great time!
