you got a 10K Christmas to spend Bonus Pool Related.

Me I always want to got to the Hopkins Expo, and DCC, think I could spend the 10K on the Event, and come home with somme goodies.

What, you mean you wouldn't use the full $10k to buy 324312412 copies of my movies? Talk about money poorly spent. :(

On a more serious note, with $10k I think I'd buy myself a CNC inlay machine. I've always wanted to get into cue making.

I would stop by a sign shop to get a cheap sign made, then take it to the poolroom and hang it on the wall....

"You've got action!!!"

Saw

I would buy hardwood flooring for my poolroom downstairs. I wish I could get rid of the carpet.

couple of options......

Go to DCC and Put it to action on matches!

Learn to build cues..............

Get a Diamond :D:D:D:D

I would level the floor of my sunroom so that I can move my table there where I woud have more than enough room to play without having switch to a short cue on some side table shots.

Put it towards a down payment on a house with a room big enough for a 9ft. diamond pro-am :)

I hear of people with carpet complain a lot about it compressing unevenly under pool table legs... if it's on the 1st floor then cut out the carpet and pad so it's on concrete or whatever subfloor you have :)

My roommates and I have a huge living room that is just begging for a table. With 10K (I wish!), I would buy 1 used Diamond Pro-Am, high-end video camera for over-the-table recording, and invest whatever I have left in a nice cue.

My company just concluded a plea agreement with the Department of Justice and has to pay $120 million so it's pretty safe for me to assume that I will be getting no bonus this year :frown:

Id finish off my garage/den. Need to tape/float/texture and paint. Carpet and buy me a gold crown light. Then id go to dcc.

I i had room id get into cue building.

why get rid of the carpeting? Im about to cover the bare concrete ive got under the table with concrete.

honestly spending 10k on pool stuff sounds insane to me.

If I had to spend 10k on pool stuff, like it was spend it or forever lose the dough....well then

The conservative approach that would have the most chance of preserving capital with a chance of increasing the 10k imo is to buy a few distress sale offerings in high end cues and collectibles. Stick with the cream of the crop cues that have good documentation. Right now there are few buyers and more and more sellers. A good example of a high end cue that I would be examining would be TommyTs ridiculously tricked out Titlist by scruggs, or a Szam/Bushka/Peterson/Spain with good provenance.

If this is just a fantasy and its all about having fun, I would take the 10k and go to either the DCC, the US Open and/or the SBE.

If this was complete fantasy and my real life wife and kids were not in the picture, I would take the 10k and plan to spend two sessions living in manila, say for 6-12 weeks at a time. Not sure if 10k would pay for that but I think you could do it. I think if you spent 4-6 months of the next year living in the Phillipines, and played all the time, you would come back probably playing at least 2 balls better than when you left.

How to Spend my 10K on Pool

Gold Crown or Diamond Table with Light

I might get a new fancy cue like an ebony and tulipwood scruggs

Personal Lesson with Randy or Scott (Or the group when they come back to Huntsville)

I could blow several hundred on tooled leather case that caught my eye

Not much left after this.

10k won't go far, but.....

here goes...

a nice gina or TAD....
display wall rack and case for the above...
a nice bar unit with big flat screen....
new cloth, rails and pro job by one of our AZB table gurus
nice chairs.........................

and...............

dangit...........over budget by about 10k...back to the drawing board.

freakin hilarious by the way...i like that one...

but i would buy me a 2500 custom, mottey, capone, something along those lines...the other 2500 on a table, the the rest of the 5k would be used for sweat bet's on matches going on TAR or something like that.

I'd buy a Diamomd Pro set up by RealKingCobra, lessons with Stan Shuffett and put the rest towards a week at the DCC!! No need for another cue, I have 1..
