I was playing a fun match a few minutes ago and my opponent left me in this situation. After taking 45 seconds or so I got shape from the 6 to the 7. (Learned this shot from watching Justin Hall).

I'm not the greatest player in the world but I was so happy to have executed the shot.

Any ideas guys?

If draw isn't practical it looks like force-follow with high right is the answer. Hit it hard.

Maybe you didn't set the shot up right for the picture, but the simple draw shot looks fairly easy. You do have to cheat the pocket a little.

Yep. Draw back, kiss cue ball off the 7 slightly to bump it off the rail for another fairly straight in shot.

Bob, you're right. I didn't set it up exactly as was in the game. The draw option wasn't available in the game. =(

Pretty hard to get things exactly as was in the game.

I think he set it up wrong... The draw is too simple and must not be he answer.

I think he is talking about the force follow stroke shot with high right or maybe he really set it up wrong and he means make the six and run cue ball off that bottom rail up table off the top rail and back down for an easy shot on the 7.

You even need high right. Looks fairly simple to cheat the pocket and just a stroke shot with top. Keep it simple.

this would be a pretty easy draw shot wouldn't it?

My guess: If you have a little more angle forcing you to have to slightly cut the 6, you can hit it firm with high right; the cueball would take the tangent line to the rail, the right would help spin the ball to the right some more and the high would bring it back to the rail for shape on the 7.

Nice shot!

I'm assuming you used the force follow.

Gotta hit it firm enough so the the spin doesn't take until after the CB hits the rail. Gotta be careful to not get too much right english on the shot, as it can reduce the amount of follow and can check the CB off the rail wider. Hit the CB high and hard with just a touch of outside is my preferred method.

You people are all wrong and you lost, pay me.

The game is obviously 8b and you shoot the 9 in the side and then the 8 somewhere else.

I'm having a hard time following the force follow shot. Do you guys mean this shot? The lines would be curved slightly of course due to the follow.

And if the shot was in the above linked Alex/Justin match, can someone please post the time stamp?

Thanks.
