Who are The Hustlers?

Hopefully this doesn't come off completely negative, but here goes my attempt at some constructive criticism.

There are too many cut away shots during the pool matches. I understand time constraints and wanting to summarize an entire set in a few minutes. But after watching a couple of minutes of the match between Finnegan and Duddy, I began to get dizzy.

Maybe it wouldn't be a big deal to a non-pool player and maybe the production crew will take into consideration in future episodes. I'm still rooting for the show to be successful.
In the Duddy Finnegan match with a game or two to go she had ball in hand after he scratched. She shot the 1 and rolled up for the 2 and it had no pocket. Next thing she's shooting the 3 up table bit not sure how a player could get the cueball there.

I agree on the cutaway shots it's tough. Not sure what else would work.

I noticed the same thing that you noticed about the 11th game of the match. They were tied 5-5. Finnegan broke and scratched. The easy 2-9 combo was laying right in front of the pocket. All Duddy had to do was make the 1 and then shoot the 2-9 combo. They showed her shoot the 1, roll in position for the 2-9 combo (although she could have made the 2-9 combo from about anywhere on the table). Then next thing you know, they showed her shooting the 3 ball. It makes it hard for me to believe that the sets are real. But this is coming from a pool shooter. I'm not sure if the layman would notice or care. I will say that they seem to be doing a good job on the drama portion of the show, which may be more important to them than the actual pool playing.

Once again, I'm pulling for the show to be a success even if my criticism doesn't make it seem that way.

The 2 didn't even go by the 9???? Cueball was on rail and to get up table would have taken gorilla stroke...that she don't have.

She had ball in hand to shoot the 1. The 2 didn't have to go by the 9, the 2 had to go into the 9 and the 9 would have gone into the pocket. It was a easy 2-9 combo.

That's if you're talking about game 11 of the set.

Just rewatched it. 2 didn't go by 9. It didn't bank into corner either. The 4 was next mid table. With the magic of tv she was shooting the 5 with a bridge after making the 1. Nobody makes that 2 where it was....

There is not the slightest chance Finnegan and partner could beat MD getting the 6, 2 games and the first break. Ridiculous. Want proof? Go watch that match between Scooter and Shane. I know this is just T.V. though. On a side note, even if the show turns out to be bad or something, not saying it is, anything at all is good for the game. Congrats to everyone involved.

Lmao did you not hear what Mike said at the beginning of the second episode about the match? Maybe continue watching instead of spouting off. Just sayin :)

Why does everyone automatically attack everyone for anything they write here? I could say almost anything, like "I like ice cream," and someone would call me an idiot for ice cream likingness. Spimp13, buddy, chill out. I was just making a point. If you don't like it, maybe PM me your home address tough guy. You can tell me I'm an idiot to my face like a grown man.

What? I didn't call you an idiot I just got a laugh out of your comment after mike just got done saying they were hustling them. Relax dude and enjoy the show

Just watched the first show. I don't know why they edited stuff balls were made out of order. Speed it up if you are worried about getting it all in in an hour. But why cut away from stuff.

Also the list consists of the best players in NY Really? I know its tv

This is the perfect opportunity for the show to drive traffic to their website by offering to show the uncut pool sets on their web site. Pool players and laymen can watch the show on TV for the drama and then pool players can go online and watch the actual matches (that's if everything about the matches shown on TV is real).

Dechaine giving 3 games to Baretta in 10 ball race to 10. Interesting.
Although I respect Baretta's game, I don't think she stands a chance against Dechaine in a race to 10 with a 3 game handicap. He'd have to give her all of the breaks for it to possibly be close.

I'd like to rob the kid with his girl watching. Nothing better than Busting a guy and his cheerleader. Can't see how bringing the little woman ever helps....too much pressure.

They seem to be doing a good job on the entertainment/drama portion of the show, but the cut shots and editing of the games is horrific. Anyone that has been playing long enough to instantly recognize the colors of the balls can tell that a lot of the games shown on TV aren't linear.

The kid doesn't realize that being number 5 on the list of 5 is the best position to be in someone looking to make their money gambling. He's the gatekeeper... He should be happy to be #5.

The list is a strange way to put this out there.

Just ger Strickland already....he'd make this a top 10 show. Get him and Dechaine to play race to 3 for 50k!

Nice to see Jenn playing in regular street clothes instead of cat suits. She's much more attractive/sexy to me when she doesn't seem like she's trying so hard to be sexy.
