Who are the top five players in your state?

what about
Jon Kucharo
craig rice
and jay the banker

After I posted, a friend of mine reminded me of Kucharo. I think Craig plays good, but he is not in the top five in the state and who is Jay the Banker?

I'll try for SC........

Stevie Moore
Scott Rabon
Brian White

I think Lenny and Richie Samonski live in North Augusta, SC, but I'm not sure.

Maybe Jerry Pintos, Marty Free

That's a star anyway.

Jay, aka, fast jay, crazy jay. I think he is from the quad cities. He is pretty good. Amazing with english and finds ways to find leave when it seems impossible, and great at banking. But he is a little on the "way to loose" side. If he would just take his time, and concentrate he could be real good. Craig does play good. His mental game is tight and he hasn't played as much as he used to, but when he is on, i find it hard for someone to beet him. What about ray funk? Where in Iowa are you at?

...but did you see Shorty take 4th at the annual Beat the Pro Tournament at Park Avenue Billiards last month.

I don't think it was the same guy if P.Ave is in FL...guess I could be wrong, I'm not his mom anyhoo.

I searched for is for a bit but couldn't find results on computer. Could you please throw a bone??

I notice that no one has taken a shot at New York State. Help please:

Tony Robles NYC
Mike Zuglan Rotterdam
Ron "Julio" Casanzio Rochester
Frankie Hernandez NYC
Ian Costello Albany

Last time I saw "Ginky", his game was not up to the level I remember (injury? weight? overall health?). Anyone else in NYC top flight? Robb Saez showed up at a tournament with a relative from NYC, I believe his name was Carlos. Played jam up nine ball. Andy Segal excelled in trick shot competitions last year. Is the rest of his game up to that par? Didn't show much on the Joss Tour.

What about "sweet Toby". He has been known to run a rack or two. If Tommy Brown is in stroke, no one has to like it(try him some straight pool)!

Most of my attention paid to 9-ball. I have seen some guys shooting straight pool, one pocket, or 6-ball. I know there are probably a heap of really good players....I just don't know them! Most of them probably don't want to be known for reasons we can all relate to!!

Did everyone see that Shorty took 2nd in the Planet Pool event in Sterling, VA?

Hi Pigi,

Is it possible that you are talking about Tom Delfonso from Boston? He may be six foot but everyone in the Northeast refers to him as "Shorty". Used to run around the table like Luc Salvas. Gained maturity recently. Plays more deliberate now. Oh, did I mention JAM UP!!!!

I don't know Ray Funk either. I live in Ankeny (Des Moines area) and play league in Ames at the Corner Pocket. There are a couple pool halls that are supposed to open in Des Moines in the next year, so hopefully that will improve the level of play in this area.

Is it possible that you and 9balledinva have read the first couple of pages of this post?

No! :D LOL

I think I would have to bet on Shorty Henson if he played Shorty d'alfonso. I'd definitely bet he uses the bridge more anyhoo...

Ginky had back surgery a couple of years ago and was forced to take a break. I don't think he's hitting them too bad now, he did fairly well at last year's US Open.

Do any of u Texas guys or anyone else know whatever happened to Brian
Asley, he played in the Temple/Waco area for a long time then moved to Houston for a while. After Houston he turned pro, played there about 4-5 years and disappeared. Anyone know where he resides now?

I imagine SactownTom could, since half of them play out of or pass through 'his' room :)

I'll start anyway,
Jose Parica
Amar Kang
Tony Chohan

I'll add a few more:

Ismael (Morro) Paez
Ernesto Dominguez
Dave Hemmah
Billy Palmer
Rafael Martinez

I live in Md, but have not seen all of the great players.

Danny Green
Mike davis
Keith mcCready

Are the ones I have seen. I have seen a few others playing for money who were just as good, but I did not know their names.

Laura

Georgia I have to go with the following:

1) Johnny Archer
2) Tommy Kennedy
3) Steve Moore
4) Brian Butler
5) Bruce Berrong

Also in the equation (in no particular order)

Helena Thornfeldt
Monica Webb
Jimmy Wales
Stoney Stone
Brian White

Indiana players

Anyone out there, please help me. In Indiana I only know:
1. George Breedlove
2. Jeanette Lee
3. Tom Rossman
4. Brian Gregg (just based on his DCC performance)

Who else should be on this list? Where does Satman rank?? Help me (I need to know who to duck).
