Who are the top five players in your state?

I imagine SactownTom could, since half of them play out of or pass through 'his' room :)

I'll start anyway,
Jose Parica
Amar Kang
Tony Chohan

Don't forget about Santos Sambajon. I would probably put him right behind Jose on this list. Isn't Dave Hemmah from CA. Don't know about top five but a really good player.

The more that I think about, I don't think Wyoming, Montana, North & South Dakota, Arkansas, Alabama Vermont, Maine, Iowa, Utah, Idaho, New Hampshire and Mississippi HAVE a Top 5 Players..

Whaz up SB? You might be right but one of the guys here gave Jimmy Wetch the 6 ball and beat him out of $3,000. And, it wasn't the guy who won the U.S. Open, LOL.

Must agree with you Wally, I don't think any of those Ohio guys have to like their action with Jason. He has been a champion for quite some time, just does not travel too much. Joe B. is also very tough as well as Frank Ruby.
Then you got Tommy Stepenson who has a fantastic game, just not too much in the "Heart" department. Any of the guys I mentioned can take any of the listed top 5 on a given day. Don't forget Dee Adkins too.. So many to pick from..
Gotta love it!

Dee belongs in the top five before Troy my mistake.

Illinois

Dallas West (Is he still alive??)
Marco Marquez

Does Jeff Carter or Bill Incardona still live in IL? If they do shouldn't they be on your list?

Are you kidding me? An AZ Billiards forum about the top five players in your state and no one from AZ has replied? Maybe I missed a post, but my lame ass opinion is...

Scott Frost (if he's considered an Arizonian)
Jimmy M. (maybe your modesty kept you from replying)
Oakland Terry Osborn
"Sleepy" Andy Scott?
And fifth but not least (in their AZ heyday anyway) a tie between Glenn Bond and Dan Wallace

From the northern part of California. (To add to the list including the So. Calif. players)

Tony Annigoni
George Michaels
Rafael Martinez
Chris McDonald
Tim Hall
Billy Palmer
and
Ronnie Allen (yeah..he can still play)

Plus a lot of short stops that give these guys fits.

Our "state" (Finland) top five:
Mika "Ice-man" Immonen (no longer permanent resident)
Markus "Marvel" Juva
Marko "Lot harder" Lohtander
Aki Heiskanen
tied for the fifth place: Mika Lehtimäki, Stefan Sellberg, Rafael Blomstedt and perhaps Valtteri Virtanen and a couple of others...

I'll tell you right now Mcnally can give Rempe weight, you were right the first time...Mcnally is the best Pa. has

El'nino, I'm from Eastern PA, in fact we probably know each other ... I've seen McNally play many, many times -- for the cash and in tournaments.

Rempe is a hall of famer, and has won national-class tournaments in 9-ball, straight pool, and one pocket. Even as late as last year he was 2nd in the 10-ball tournament in Atlantic City (where McNally placed 9th-12th).

3 points:
1) You can argue that McNally gambles better than Rempe, but Rempe doesn't gamble anymore so that's a moot point.

2) You absolutely can't argue that McNally is a better tournament player

3) Rempe is like 54 years old -- old enough to be McNally's father. The McNally of today could not beat Rempe (or Hopkins) at even anything in his prime.

All of this said, I still think McNally is one of the top 5 players in all of the Northeast.

Does anyone know of any top level players in Indiana or Kentucky? Im mostly talking from Indianapolis to Louisville. I play at Bank Shot in Louisville on occasion and dont really know of anyone there I would consider "top notch" except Louis DeMarco and his main thing is banks.

Where do all the top players shoot around here?

Indiana has in no particular order
George Breedlove
Brian Groce
Denver Barger
Jeanette Lee
Jeff Beckley
Im sure there are more.
