Who are the top five players in your state?

Hippie-man,
Greetings. I am going to have to agree with Tony's top 5 list. In games without a power break, I think JL is definitely in the top 5. In power-break games, well, she probably still is. Who would you place ahead of her (and when was the last time you saw her match up?)?? I've personally seen her trounce 2 players on that list at medium length sets.

Here is a link to a thread where she competes heads up against some of the better Indiana players.

Arizona - no particular order but Jimmy might be the best right now. I saw him beat Glenn and Scott in the same Tourney.

Jimmy Mendoza
Scott Frost
Mitch Ellerman

Slivka is from the Pittsburgh area too-went to college in the DC area.

Ohio's cream of the crop moved to florida. JR Gay is probably still the best there. Other top names: Chris Szuter, Putnam (might be in florida now), Ben Zimmer an up and coming player, Kenny K., some Native American kid named Chris that shoots lights out.

The list of good players in Colorado goes on and on and on. The front range ( from Pueblo to Ft. Collins) just has incredible pool players. :)

Charlie Shhotman, Bill Meacham, Grady Mathews had a pool hall in Colorado Springs for awhile.

My Colorado list, no specific order...

1) Tony Piazza
2) Mark Haddad
3) Jesus "Chuey" Rivera
4) Dave Gomez
5) Jim Blakeman
6) Danny Medina

For my list I used my definition of "player", as in a person that will bet that water is wet.

We have a lot of great players in Colorado, I'd have to add Nick Smith and Ruben Silva to that list too. Not to mention the girls. Melissa Little and Megan Minerich

You are off on this one. You left out THE best player in the state. Your number one pick turned down a game for 10 big ones with him.

Who are you talking about and who turned down the action?

Pretty good list. I agree with Ryan A that Bernie and Tony could also be on the list on any given day, and I might have to put Gus Briseno on that list as well. Jimmy and Mitch are certainly on the list for 9 or 10 ball, but I'm not sure they make the list if you look at all games. There are a couple of Tucson players that can play a little too.

You are leaving out some really good players in Florida:

Neil Fujiwara
Stoney Stone
Larry Gayle

There are so many low key players who don't go to big tournaments, how could someone possibly expect to hear about the five best. There is no 5 best in Florida...there's probably about 10 best.
also .......rodney morris, earl strickland, and rob saez all live in springhill,fl
