this page! its http://www.taxi-blog.de/wordpress

and scroll down the page till you see the pool table click on start button
and watch all 5 minutes of it and decide for yourself!!

The guy's name is Pavel Poledno. He's Czech. He has a few compilation videos floating around. There's been discussions about him either on other posts here or other boards. I can probably get you more information on him if you want it.

There was a thead about that video recently. That table is a 3x6 table, non slate surface, and non standard cloth also I believe. Someone apparently knows the person who is performing the shots and said he cannot do those on a normal table with normal cloth.

This is according to a poster ofcourse, but it does look like a very small table to me.

You can tell it's a smaller than normal table....he probably has real slow nappy cloth that grips the CB real well...

I don't know Pavel personally. The information I gave was posted on another pool site (CCB), by another Czech poster, who had emailed Pavel to ask about the video.

yawn...

You think this guy can beat Massey because of shots he did on a A 6 x 3 table?!? You've got to be kidding me. That's like me saying I can out-dunk Jordan on a 6 foot Nerf hoop or beat Lance Armstrong in a big wheel race.

LMFAO!!!

Wait till you see this guy's next video. He'll be performing even tougher shots on this table.....

WITHOUT A SNORKEL OR FINS!

It is a 3x6 and it is wood instead of slate. I can't say about the cloth. You can see the pockets are a bit big too. He's looking in to buying a regulation table. Hopefully he gets that soon and then we can all put these debates to rest. He's definitely got some skill and a lot of creativity. Check out my site for lesser skill and lesser creativity.

all im saying is there might be something to this guy
evidently small table or not hes got talent. and he jumps and curves the cueball really well and easily. i think hes a wait and see what happens guy how about that!

what the hell do i click on? its all in czech

Just go to youtube.com and search for ppooler. That'll bring up all of his videos.

As far as skills are concerned, his jump shots are made easier because of the wood table bed. With a similar stroke, most of those would turn in to masse shots on slate.

Pavel does do good work

Mike Massey is the best pocket billiard trick shot artist. Charlie Darling Luke Szwala and myself are the only three to ever best his scores in the World Championships. When the dust settles Mike is always at the top. In ten years he has lost 2 world championships. Oh ya live an unedited.
In competition there is only 3 chances per shot and you don't get to choose the shots the board does. I am not saying Pavel is not one of the guys that can win but, you are making a huge leap saying that an edited video makes him better than a Champion that has bested everyone for 34 yrs. Hell Mike was shooting trick shot in Czech before most of us were even born.
Recently I have decided trick shots aren't about who is best it's really all about the fun people get to have by watching them. Now if you really think it is funner to watch trick shots on a video on youtube by yourself. Than it is to go out and support you local trick shot artists/entertainers then he is the best. My standards for the best don't include edited video. I would love to compete with Pavel as I know everyone else would too. If anyone wants to bring him over I'll play.

Maybe not, but he can hit 11 rails, can you do that?!?!? He's the first ever to appear on Believe It Or Not 129 times, and he can run a rack of 15 balls in 4.3 seconds without touching a rail, and he's the only player to shoot the coke bottle shot with 12 balls on top of the bottle, and his dog's feces can give Efren Reyes the 6 and out!!!!!! Once he ran 97 racks of rotation on a 14X28 foot table and then quit (never missed!) His shadow can kill a man fifteen and a half different ways using only his two index fingers. He cooks 30-minute brownies in 20 minutes, and he never sleeps. When the boogey man goes to sleep, he checks under his bed for Fast Larry.

I reported wrong yesterday there were three others to score higher but, only 2 that ever finished higher and Mike came in second to Charles Darling (2001) and Luke Szwala (2005). In 2006 in the preliminary rounds he came in 5th but, pulled out the win in the finals. This new format is a design built by Me and Mike very similar to golf. It is this change that allowed Mike to prove once again that he is the best pocket billiard trick shot master alive today the new format was meant to prove the most consistant player I feel it did.
What it comes down to in trick shot competition is consistancy. The videos are about how crazy can I make this shot. Some people gain 30lbs by the time they are done making a video. I know of one that took 6yrs. Can you imagine shooting the same exact shot 10,000 times in one day to make it once (OCD). Not saying any of Pavels shots took him this long but, there is a possibility. Video's should never be included in ones decisions on who is the best maybe if it is live footage. Only stats and facts are facts. That is why.
