Who do you think the best living cuemaker?

Sean one might ask why you're getting involved, but I think we already know that answer.

No...not getting involved......just tired of seeing you dredge this up. Get over it. People aren't perfect and NEITHER ARE YOU.

I think Ernie follows in the same mold as Balabushka and Gus. The pro players sought out his cues here on the West Coast as the East Coast players wanted Balabushka's and Szamboti's.

These cue makers were very concious of pro players special needs. They were very accommodating to the fussy players and catered to them. They also stood behind their work.

When I was learning to play pool, all the top players out here had or wanted Gina's.

I would have to say that hands down the best cue maker alive today would be Paul Drexler. I have seen many cues in my time and his sharp points and veneers are some of the best i have seen and if personality plays a role in our decisions for those of you who don't know I hear he is a very nice guy.

I think without a doubt the best is Paul Drexler. His superior craftsmanship and great personality make him an easy decision for me.

Welcome to the forum, Czarofrockland! Allow me to intoroduce myself. My name is Pharaoh68 but you can call me Brian. I in turn, will call you half-wit.
Paul Drexler is the best rounded point, uni-loc joint making cuemaker out there.
And his personality is also top notch!!!

Pete Tascarella, is equal to any cue maker in this country. While Pete's designs are Traditional, (No CNC Work) the quality of his work is certainly equal to, if not better than, any other cue maker in the country. In addition, Pete has carried on and kept alive the work of one of the greatest Cue Makers of all time, the late George Balabushka, and if you know Pete's history you would also know there is no one better to do it.

Pete does incredible work. He makes such beautiful, clean looking cues. A friend of mine ordered a beautiful wrapless, 4 veneered full-splice from Pete and it is just about the classiest looking cue I have ever seen!

Lately, the more I see of our very own John Showman's work, I'm beginning to think he should be near the top of the list!

The Truth Is In Their Playability

By far the best is Dennis Searing, his work is some of the only I have ever seen that is absolutely FLAWLESS with unmatched playability. The next best is John Showman and Andy Gilbert, no matter how fancy a cue they still play awesome. All of their work is truly amazing. Dennis creates a true players, he can control cue balance and weight like no other. If you have the opportunity and means please pick one up and give it a try.

Jim Yongue's brainchild, and Sandra Brady's artistry. PFD did the cuemaking.

That being said, Paul does come out with some very unique and beautiful cues.

There are too many great cue makers to choose just one.

So, for everyone who selected one, please send your cues made by the others to . . . . . . ME!! :D

He has a couple of Barry's so I'm pretty sure that's who he means.

I have hit with a B.S. and I didnt like the hit too much but his cues look nice.I have hit with 4 Tascarellas and I really like them and hope to get one in the future.

I believe he must mean Barry Szamboti. That's his point.
