Yep, not even close. Nicky Varner is a world champion pool player and a world champion gum chewer.
 
Nicky Varner is to gum chewing every bit as much as Efren Reyes is to the Kick-Safe.

The man is a grande master of gum.
Runner up would be Mike Sigel tho.

if you mean bubble gum, varner.

if you mean "gum" as in the gums inside a person's mouth, efren. alcano second.
 
When Nick Varner showed up for his first Mizerak Senior tournament....

I heard Nick was out of gum by his second match.
 
Mr. Wrigley once called Nick and asked him if he could sponsor him but Nick refused based upon the fact that he had never met a pack of gum that he didn't like.

Another professional pool player once remarked that chewing gum, in some way, helps to regulate your breathing. (Not too sure about that one but I would ask Nick when I see him next time).

I still remember Sammy Jones, on an Accustats straight pool video from the 1989 US Open straight pool championship in Chicago.

They were talking about Nick Varner chewing his gum. He was playing either Mizerak or Ortmann. Nick was chewing gum furiously.

Sammy said, you couldn't get that gum away from him for twenty five hundred dollars.

Cased closed, the gum winner is Nick Varner.
