Who is your pick to win the Turning Stone Classic IX 9-Ball Open?

Jay I aplogize for my vHorse Karen Corr taking this one down and making you lose a few. She next has her sights on is Jimmy "bout to lose the Juice" Jusman.

hey jay,did you get action with the bet that you offered me?

Yeah, one small bet with Abbassi. I layed him 5 to 2 on 20 bucks. It's down to even money now, if you still want in.

i dont understand i guess:confused: i thought they were done for the day but the brackets keep moving................kinda hard to make action when you dont know if they are actually playing at this minute or not.

GO KAREN! Next on her menu is Louis "About to be Lucky Charmed" Ulrich and she's still HUNGRY!

Damn girl! What's up with you?

Personally I think it would be the greatest thing for professional pool if Karen Corr won a major tournament. To me Pool's best chance to go mainstream is to have open events featuring the best men and women battling on even terms. That is one thing I liked about the IPT. What other sport is there where the top men and women can play even?

Yes I know they do in Poker, and it definitely helps the ratings. But Poker is not really a "sport". It's a game just like chess.

funny you should say that Jay because i found on the ESPN site about a couple of weeks ago that they list poker under "sport" - ironic given that pool has always been considered to be a game and not sport. just thought i would share.

Karen did catch a nice draw. I just noticed that. Can she finish is the question? It's all big guns now. That would be really something.

would love to see her win it - she is shooting them good, but the world beaters are waiting in the wings. she was down to Jusman I think 3-0 when she pulled herself back up and then took control to win it. she looked very confident.

Who will face each other in the finals?

I have a strong feeling it will be Dennis Orcullo vs Lee Van Corteza with Dennis winning the title.

Dennis and Ralf in the final, with Ralf Souquet as winner!

According to the brackets, Ulrich is in the Hot Seat and awaiting a player for the Finals....
Doug

Edited to say: I may be WRONG, I can't pull up the bracket for the last 3-4 players...

I don't see that. It looks like He has to play Orcollo for hot seat.

You are only looking at the upper half of the winner's brackets. Please click on the FINAL BRACKETS (in red) so you can see the final 4 players.

Did that, does not show who is in the hot seat yet. Am I missing something?

The result on who won between Ulrich and Orcullo is not known yet so we still have the final 4.

Does anybody know if this is a 'true' double elimination? Will the person who is in the 'hot seat' have to be defeated twice?
