Does anybody know if this is a 'true' double elimination? Will the person who is in the 'hot seat' have to be defeated twice?

I hestitate to give a response, since my memory sometimes ain't what she used to be.

However, as I recall, it is an EXTENDED race in the finals, to 13 or 15 games. I can't remember.
