Who made this cue?

It just came in for a complete restoration. Looks familar but can't say for certain who made it. I was hoping some of the collectors may know....

Fugg dood! That's got many indicators/influences in there! Could be anybody of the era (70's).

I think TATE could say if it were a Palmer or not.
 
I was made aware of the e-bay auction by an e-mail from Jayman.

Yes, it's a full blown custom Palmer made to a customer's exacting specs. I sent the pics to Peter Balner and he remembered the cue. That finish job might be an epoxy they were experimenting with at the time - no longevity in that stuff and they coated everything with it.

I can't tell from the pics but it's probably a Szamboti forearm. Judging by the thick joint wall, it was a mid-1970's cue. Everything on that thing is custom - a real step out of the mold for Palmer.

It was one hell of a deal. I put in a snipe bid on it but it was too low. I didn't think it would go for much because there was no provenance.

It's going to really pop when it's refinished.

Thanks for the info. Looked like a Palmer to me, never seen one quite like that one, though.
