I am piggybacking off of another thread i just saw titled who makes the best plain janes. I am a sneaky pete fan so i thought id give it a shot. I would like to get my hands on an old benson sneaky but i doubt that would happen. So who makes a great STIFF hitting sneaky that doesnt cost over about $375 with 2 shafts? I know im a cheapo. So where can i get the best bang for my buck? Also pics are very welcome here. Thank you.

I don't regret my Omen Sneaky Pete. I believe that is around your price range. I spent $2400 for a main players cue from him but for some reason I cannot stop using the sneaky. lol

I love my Huebler sneaky pete. Joel Weinstock makes a reasonably priced dufferin conversion, priced significantly less than a Predator sneaky pete.

sneaky pete

I'd have to second that Josey recommendation. He is very well known for them. Great guy too!

little al will hook you up with a great playing sneaky for undero 300!!!!! i know my buddy DJkeys has a Masonh sneaky for sale that plays jam the F*ck up!!!!!! no joke if you got the dough buy it! i know if i had the cash i'd buy it.

look into DZ cues, bob has a website. and i dont think youll be sacrificing much in the quality dept at that price range myself, his cues are so solidly built.... just fantastic.

al romero gets my vote too. Just picked up 2 of them yesterday. Took him a week and a half. Great players. Plays almost as good as my Kent Davis

I think some people are missing the part where you said STIFF and are just giving you their sneaky preference. I haven't played with all of these so some might well be stiff but I can tell you that I had a Mike Stacy sneaky and that was the stiffest hitting cue I've ever played with bar none. Josey's hit stiff too. In the price range you're talking, a used Stacy for sure, a Josey plain sneaky maybe.

Someone mentioned Woody. Pat (Diveney) has had this one for awhile now, but I've hit with it, and it would make a fantastic player.... http://www.diveneycue.com/category/pool-cues/trade-ins/woodworth/

It's satin wood into birdseye some sort of figured maple with lacewood points (kinda reminds you of a Joss sneaky looks wise, but with a big radial pin). Since Pat has had it for awhile, I'm sure he'll deal a little with ya.

I would have easily recommended one of Pat's sneakys, but you can't get one with 2 shafts in your price range. They occasionally come up for sale in the wanted/for sale section here; you could look there. One G-10 pinned butterfly sneaky I tried of Pat's was the BEST hitting cue I've ever tried.....it was pretty odd looking in wood combination (ebony into bacote), so I hemmed and hawed, and someone else snagged it! :(

Best and cheap don't always go hand in hand. Probably only one or two that can be had for 375 with two shafts, and they are going to be lower end cues without a doubt.

I shoot with a old bonner that is the best I've owned in sneaky's. Buying new I'd try to get Joey Bautista to make me one, or Eric Crisp. But both is going to cost more than that. I'd also be happy with a Dzuricky or a Little Al. Have had sneakies from all of them, and they all play good. Joey and Eric are going to play pretty stiff.

Catch me on the right day (and right now isn't the right day) and I'd sell my bonner.
