Used to be a lot more. some quit/moved.Yeah. That’s just the reputation when I lived in Kansas. I always thought that was a funny line.

Bummer. I remember the old days in Tulsa at Magoo’s and the palace. Good times.Used to be a lot more. some quit/moved.
6 according to the Fargo website. Chip, Joey, Shane McMinn, John Gabriel, Billy Dyke, and Greg Hogue.I can name all the Okla 700+ in Okla. Not that many. Try about 5.

we were just talking about how things have changed last night from 30 years a go playing leagues and I think two things contribute to that .Not where i play. The league players are mostly ultra-tight water drinkers. The servers hate waiting on them 'cause they run tiny tabs. some do eat/drink but mostly they come in, play, and bail. Nationwide i'm sure they spend a lot, i'm just going by what i see on a regular basis.
Quit long time ago. Haven't seen BJ in at least 15yrs.Bryan Jones?
Didn't know Greg 'Spanky' Hogue was in the 700's. Last i saw it was around 675ish. My point was there aren't very many. 20-25yrs ago there was at least twice that many in Ok. that played that speed. Age,dope/liquor,casinos thinned the herd pretty bad.6 according to the Fargo website. Chip, Joey, Shane McMinn, John Gabriel, Billy Dyke, and Greg Hogue.
Enterprise economics!I guarantee that travel money doesn't help the pool economy.
I was expecting something along the lines of "the only people in OK who ride 4 dudes to a car are high level shortstops and 1 usually has a girlfriend".Yeah. But they all ride around in the same car…

This part is tough: I don't generally drink while i'm playing, but compensate by tipping well for my Arnie Palmer and being low maintenance. Be kind to the servers, tip well, and they really won't care how much you're spending. Not where i play. The league players are mostly ultra-tight water drinkers. The six I named were the only ones on the list.Bryan Jones?
They do it in one night.Another vote for the fun players. They spend a lot on table time and alcohol and are the ones that run up a very big tab on a Friday or Saturday night.
I think it goes more by player than room. In my local room there are often players, and sometimes teams, that just show up to play. Some of them even bring in drinks and food to not spend anything extra, despite every place having a policy against it. Other teams and players are always running $20-50 tabs for the night. Not where i play. The league players are mostly ultra-tight water drinkers. I'm on my way H!!The narrative is still “pool players are cheap” and I don’t get that.
The real saying should be “we don’t offer much except a table, food and drinks. A person can only eat and drink so much”.
I tried tonight too. I ate some food, had two sodas and trained for 2 hours. Still didn’t hit that $100, which I assume would be big spending.
I wish there was someone there next to me so I can pay for all their beers. LOL
