who wants TRADITIONAL

This is one of my favorite Bushka's. I am actually modeling a tribute cue off of the bottom rings of this cue (with red instead of blue though). I love the blue, but I had the original red material from back then, so red it had to be. George's red plastic is pretty sweet to though.

Troy

Gus/George what a combo. I was just about to ask if it was a Spain or a Gus arm when I saw your post. How do you know? (Not a challenge, I'm looking to learn).

Kevin

Kevin,
I used to own it and the letter says so.
Lol!
I'm no expert either but the points are longer than Burt's.
I asked Barry too and from the pictures I sent him he said it looked like his Dad's blank.
It's a ridiculously awesome cue and plays great.
Should have kept it.
Take care

Rod, anytime my friend.....you make it all worth while

I wish I could turn back the hands of time, just to see these cues being made, and finished, so I could feel the magic. The love and compassion will live forever, through owners, and cuemakers that were inspired by such incredible talent and cues. I love old school.

Rod, I had my chance in 1968, when a friend of mine wanted to take me to Georges house to buy a cue......I had no idea who he was, so I said no.......can you believe it.

Ouch, lol. Now you are paying dearly. I'm happy just talking to Barry, Ernie, or John Showman on the phone.. Have a great day Steve.

Great cue Steve from one great AZer to another. I miss Doug he was a great guy!

hey

Steve your photos are great, your camera work makes this cue look brand new.

Eric

Eric, thanks buddy. I know how to use my camera for cue pics...but anything else I am screwed. Way too many settings and numbers...lol

I have to say that I believe this is one of my favorite Balabushkas to date...I love that ring at the joint...and the sleeve is phenomenal simplicity!

I get a bit of a kick out of seeing the close-ups of George's inlays...and then relating it to how much grief is given to cuemakers nowadays when their inlays aren't "perfect"... ;)

It is pretty interesting seeing how George did his inlays. when showing these closeup pics, it's to be able to show the amount of intricate, incredible workmanship that went into each one. If you look at anything long and hard enough you are always going to find imperfections..........except for a couple of woman I saw in Vegas a few of years ago.......lol

Just remember...with the lights turned down far enough, looks no longer matter...then it just comes down to a matter of how they "feel" (cues or women!). ;)

And for you ladies: whether the lights are on or off, I highly doubt a 13mm shaft is gonna cut it!!! :yikes:

Jason

(Sorry for dragging the thread even further down... :o )

p.s. I still love the cue! :p
