You still wouldn't be safe from meJust keep 6-8 inches away from the torso to avoid any incidental contact by another appendage.
Earl beat him up at the next tourney.I remember a stream not that long ago where I think it was Hunter Lombardo gave Earl a hug after their match and Earl didn't shun him.
I have no idea what to say, either you don't know who Earl is, or you don't know who Earl is.Did she hug the other players after her matches?
I find it hard to believe a 21 year old woman from Korea is in awe to play Earl. She's too young, and too far culturally removed, to consider him a "living legend". IMO.
Man lub.Earl beat him up at the next tourney.
Just caught the tail end of Earl's match with 21 year old Korean women's player Seo Seoa. She defeated Earl 5-1. After she shook Earl's hand, she went in for the hung and Earl shunned her. She was obviously elated to defeat a legend but should she have been more "professional" or should Earl have been more accommodating?
It's a interlekchull thing. Girl was ready with the basic precision though. You're asking if someone is wrong for not wanting personal contact beyond a handshake?
Why is this even a question, dozens of replies arguing about it too, weirdos
You'd rather (____) a bobcat off in a telephone booth with a hand full of gravel then try to hug Earl Strickland, especially after a 4-1 loss to a female.I think she was just trying to be friendly and respectful, but trying to hug Earl after you beat him in a pool match is like trying to hug a lion after you stomp on its tail.
Did she hug the other players after her matches?

What better memory than grumpy Earl refusing to hug you. I mean what did you expect? If I were her it would make it even more special. 'I gotNo, no hugs. I'm pretty sure she knows Earl. I've followed her career for a few years. She's very friendly. She was fan-girling, and trying to get a moment to remember (beyond the match). It breaks my heart, but what do you expect from Earl? There are cultural differences too, as she's relatively new to playing with men.
I just can't help think she should go talk to FSR for a bit. If anyone would give a hug, it would be FSR.
Jason Shaw, Luong Doc Thien, and ref on Table 1, boy, really feel embarrassed for her.

Earled, by Earl'

Um...Earl wants to shoot your liver out no matter who you are. It's awkward at best. I don't blame him for how he reacted.I watched that as it happened. There is no right or wrong. But imo, I think it's pretty crappy on Earls part and Earl is my all time fav player. He is a living legend and knows it. This young female player who is probably thrilled just to even play him, just wants to hug him. It would have been a special moment for her. Who cares if you're mad or hate hugs or whatever. How about you do something for someone else so it makes them happy. It's not like it's something huge or costs you anything. I don't think it's poor sportsmanship but poor character
Pretty sure I saw Earl hugging Emily in one of the event previewsSome people don't hug.
From a porcupine.Earl could probably use a hug though.
