Who's going to the Swanee?

I thought about making up an event poster and selling copies at Hard Times to generate some food money.

We could take one and set it out for everyone to sign.

Poster would list date, venue, sponsors stuff like that. Something cool someone could put up in a game room. Figured $10 or $15 for a 16x20 print on basic paper would be reasonable.

Something like that work?

Cool. Since I'm not so gifted with computer graphics, I was going to just draw stick figure of the late Jay Swanson and live a blank space for people to sign. :grin-square: Your idea sounds great and we've got some Swanee pics at the office that you can copy to print on posters.

Swanee was a large man and a stick figure wouldn't do him justice.

Yup. You going to do some commentary when you are not schooling fools on the table?

Heck yeah. I'm taking that as an official invitation. I may even print it out and bring it so that I can get others out of the booth...LOL.

But seriously...you know I will check in with you in between matches to see if commentary is needed.

Hey fellas, is there an admission charge for spectators? I'm thinking about maybe checking it out this Saturday.

Swanee is FULL

Swanee is FULL (192 players) - Today, 08:14 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Swanee tournament is FULL.

There are usually a couple of cancellations - and we do not allow selling of spots. So a couple of people on the waiting list will have a good shot of getting in.

We will have the final list posted on our website tomorrow.

Several people have had problems with the link in previous posts. I do not know why they 'go down'. I have replaced a couple of them and they are exactly the same. It has always been good before but I know AZ is doing some server stuff so who knows. . . . .we do apologize for any inconvenience.

This is a first. 192 players signed up and PAID 3 days before the event!

I know, that's why I got large crayons to make bold lines :grin-square:

Now that's better. I was thinking of bringing this for filling in the bold lines.:)

I'll be the guy in the dirty T-Shirt and worn out jeans, with the bare cue in my hands (no case, just a rubber band). If you see me, come up and buy me a coffee! PLEASE! I'm homeless, I don't have a girlfriend.

A pool player with no girlfriend really IS homeless. ;)

Pagulayan, Parica, Eberle and Ellerman signed up today. Great, 4 stiffs I have to roll over. LOL. Anyone wanna buy my entry?

atthecat,

I hope you're just joking about selling your spot... However, if you really want to sit this one out, you can pass your spot to next in line. You can take care of that first thing Saturday morning.

We will see you at HardTimes.

Sunny, I know Oscar asked it, but I don't think it was answered - are phenolic tips allowed this weekend? It'll make a difference in which break cue I bring.

Current word is "probably not - but - they may decide to charge $5 or $10 on Sunday" (Sunday is the $$$$ rounds) :)

Wow, the field filled up yesterday so these 4 guys (including the champions of the last two years) almost didn't get in?

Well, now I've got my goal for this year. That is to last long enough to draw one of these guys (and hopefully two of them). :grin-square: Of course, with my luck that will be in the first two rounds.

It'll be great to meet you guys!!!

I live about 5 minutes away from Hard Times and I would really like to meet a lot of my fellow AZers too! Specially the locals or close by! I frequent Hard Times but I don't really know a lot of people there even the locals. :o In fact, I chat with Al more than the local players. I think it has something to do with me being a Filipino and not having a stroke for $#!+!:o
I am definitely approaching you Chris, I need to thank you personally for all the help/reviews that you give! Sorry for the long post...:o
