I think it' s clearly Earl Strickland. Seriously, he's from Texas, his Mama doesn't seem to have taught him any manners??? Decorum??? He's "behind" and then the Yak Yak starts. Can anyone here describe Earl as a "Gentleman" with a straight face??? He has "flashes in the Pan" of civility, "the sun shines on a dog's ass once in-awhile" As Daddy used to say. Certainly he has talent.
I'm thinking that anyone that supports ES is ONLY thinking about his game, which by the way isn't near best in the WORLD these days. He's pretty much a Circus Side show at this point?
He's still a real threat, but most people would like him to just go away. If you think he is "entertaining" and "good" for the game--then I think U are in the minority.

You still need weight.

Green looks terrible on you....

That aside...Put your envy aside for a second?

Have you ever met Earl? I've shot numerous racks with him. He is a decent fellow. Sure he is passionate about the sport he loves, but that is no excuse for this bashing.

I first met Earl several years ago, My clutch had gone out about a mile from the pool hall, so I decided to throw my case on my shoulder walk. I had gotten halfway there when a kind soul asked if I needed a lift. I said yes. He said he assumed I was going to shoot. And we drove to the hall he introduced himself. He was nothing but Cordial to me.

Just dont **** with him in the hall and you will be okay. If you ever really wanna have a conversation with him, ask his opinion on something.

What a stupid post  It's posts like this and obviously therefore posters like you that still have Pool in the Dark Ages as far as most of the Public is concerned.

Although Earl is nutso, I disagree with the Earl bashing.
It doesn't matter to me how many times he has gone "John McEnroe" during a match, I can only comment
on how he treated me when we talked and went outside together to smoke.
His antics remind me of other players I know, and was a good guy to stand around and chat with.
I wish he would move to Denver..."hey Earl let's play, meet me at Hank's"

I met Earl probably about 9 years ago at an exhibition. Now, I play Earl every week for about the last 7 months. He plays in my pool hall, with me and my brother on a weekly basis, among others that play our tournaments. My brother and I are semi-pro's in Florida. Let me just say this, Earl is still top of his game, and im sure beating Johnny Archer and SVB should accredit to that but if you dont think so, im sure you have the 7 out.
And when it comes to Earl's attitude, yeah it can be really horrible at times, but for the most part, Earl is a great guy to be around. He's an old dog playing with a bunch of young pups these days, give the guy a break, and if you cant do that atleast give him some respect!

If you take the time to get to know him, Earl is good man. Of course he has his faults, we all do. However, if you have the time and patience, Earl may surprise you by showing you that his good side is just as available as his bad side... its all in the approach.

Regardless of Earls antics, he has more natural talent in his little finger then many do in their entire body. When he is on, he makes the game look too easy. He is over 50 years old now, and still has a great game, and I believe he still has the fire to be the best.

He is not from Texas,If Earl was different, Then he would not be Earl. If he were different he might not
be the Champion he is. If pool balls are not present, Earl is a nice guy. His passion comes
off wrong at times

Your post is one of the worst ones I've ever read here.

You got to be kidding!! There aren't a half-dozen people on this forum that can give Earl a break and stand a snowball's chance in hell. I'll play him even, . . . . and cheap! :D :D :D
