Just wondering why Mike Deshane decided to separate himself from Bonus Ball and also from the ABP. Anyone know?
He dropped out because it conflicted with deer season.

i think we need a new Dog/puppy forum.
I know Mike real good, he will be SVB's biggest headache in 2 more years IMO, he is talented very gifted player.
I havent spoke to him about this and even if I had I wouldn't put his biz on the St. its bad action to put other peoples biz on the street, you would think that people here would know that(the ones who actually spent time in pool rooms would know not to talk about other ppls biz).
Mike and I have had our moments but I have talked to him several times recently and feel like we have smoothed things out. My impression is that Mike simply weighed his options and choose the course he feels best suits him in his current circumstances.
Mike will probably show up here and answer for himself at some point.
At this point in my career I felt it was a better decision not to play in BB. I offered myself as an alternate to the Boston Young Guns, but was told by JA that they need players that were 100% committed. There are some great tournaments that go on throughout the year that BB overlapped. I understand that our sport has declined, but not having our top Professionals compete in these tournaments can only do harm, in my opinion. Best of Luck to BB.

who got your spot?

I think I read that Thorsten Hohmann was named the new captain, so maybe he gets to pick the new team member.

I think this should get more attention. The above statement hits the nail on the head! Whether you like Mike or not, he makes a great point. We're going to some how grow the sport by having all of our top pro's skip major events to play a BB. Pry not the smartest move.
best,
Justin
Hey, what ya gonna do?This is the post that should've ended the thread till Mike himself replied.
But you gotta admit, Jesters, we did have some fun...and you were pretty
sporting about it.
..start another thread.....

I wish people who have never met or spoke with Mike would stop slandering him.
Everyone wonders about the future of pro pool...well he will be a big part of it. Denegrating him servers no purpose.
