i love the game..i have insomnia and RLS since a bad accident a few years ago..so i am up all night i put a pool table in my house so i can play all hours of the day.....
 
That's easy.

Top 5 reasons I Play Pool by JCIN.

1. I have too much money.
2. I have too much free time.
3. I do not eat enough fried food.
4. I do not breath enough 2nd hand smoke.
5. I do not hear enough woofing, barking, chirping, etc.....

Oh....wait all of those are not true...so I guess it's gotta be (B) love the game. (Even some of the "bad" stuff that goes with it.):D

Cause I LOVE it...loved it since I was a lil Voodoo and always will!!
 
Because I love the game and its cheaper than a psychiatrist:D

A few years back I was working 12 hr days would go to my friends room; play til 4-5 in the morning; get a few hours sleep then do it again. My friend asked me why I was doing that and my reply was "it keeps me sane"

I was going to just make a joke in line with my nature but the question actually made me think...???

The flip answer is "because I can" but it really, in my case, isn't flip. I can't play basketball, baseball, or football anymore, hell, I can't even watch these sports on tv anymore. I would venture to bet that 90% of my male friends spend 90% of their sport availible time sitting on their spreading a$$ watching sports they no longer can play or in most cases never could play. To me that kind of behavior is some kind of phoney machoism. They can talk the game, spout the names, critique the coaches and players, and yet they can barely tie their own shoes because they are belly hooked. Bottom line for me is I'm still a competitor and I'm only interested in sports I can still play...POOL and GOLF......games for life.....I hope I die right after a nine on the break or a long drive down the middle....GET UP AND PLAY.......Yeeeehaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

I really do love the game, but when I moved to FL I had intended to play a little golf. Getting stuck behind a sixsome of octagenarians cured me of any desire I had to play golf. I started playing pool again and am happy I did. :)
 
I enjoy tourturing myself and golf is just to long a walk to hit the next ball. :)

The reason I play pool because it's constantly a challenge and you can always continue to learn something new. It's a game that allows people from beginners to experts to enjoy it. I also like the fact that I am known for being very good at something. When I was stationed in Mountain Home, ID, which is by no means a very large town, I was know for being the best player there. Which I enjoyed. Now that I am in Houston, I am a lot further down on the totem pole.
