Why is Corey Deuel sucks so bad?

If you know what I'm saying....

Not really but I enjoyed it anyway lol.

It does always amuse me when I read the "yeah, well who the hell are you?" line when someone criticises a pro player. There's no other sport in the world where fans get called out for slagging off a pro for their poor play or off-field behaviour. It's almost as if fans on here think THEY are the pro being attacked!

We all have a right to our opinion and like it or not, America, but the pool world's view of Corey Duell does not chime with yours. The fact he has not even made your MC team for god knows how long speaks volumes of his international standing.

And to compare CD to Efren Reyes is, well, extraordinary.

I will miss Gary when he's gone again. But in the meantime, he is my favorite taiwan n-bomb.

I think he's just pointing out what a lot of others have noticed... corey has all the skills to be #1,
and it's not like he's old and his eyesight is failing. But he isn't winning big lately.

Looking at the AZ charts, he had back-to-back years earning 57,000 in prize money.
Then 2011... dismal. He didn't win any event he entered, apparently. 15k.
2012, also rough... only came in first on some $600 tour stops. 23k.

It's like he's been in a funk.
But, he seems to be on track for a good year in 2013.

Why title no make sense?

Maybe the OP is deep into a twelver.

I'd love to see how many racks Corey and Shane could put together with Corey breaking and Shane shooting. Corey made a bunch of simple mistakes - without those simple mistakes and his soft break I feel Corey could have been the favorite in the 9ball.
I had never seen the soft break before(heard about it) so I went to the pool room the next day and ran a 5pack right outta the gate using the soft break(put the 7ball where Corey was putting the 3) 9ft

This is Gary The Tiger speaking.

Just not long ago he got drilled not once but twice in consecutive days by Busta in straight pool matches in New York and just now he got drilled again by SVB.

Can someone near him tell him to disappear from the pool scenes for a while to prevent further mockery? Thanks.
If he's such a mockery,why watch him.
Your statement strikes me like the people that don't like a certain show on TV
but never change the channel. If you don't like him, don't watch.
Its the same with Earl, and anybody else you don't like to see.Its your choice!!!

It's also his choice to criticise what he sees as unfair or contrived match-ups...

We don't want to go down the farcical road of boxing, surely, where everyone knows who is going to win before a punch has been thrown.

Um... so he lost to the 2 best players in the solar system therefore he sucks so bad? God, are you a retard or WHAT? Most people will think you're just trolling, but I really think you're that stupid.

I went to the World 14.1 and sweated the FRI night matches. I've also been to a handful of other World 14.1 events. Believe me when I tell you.... no one cuts through a rack of 14.1 better than Bustamante. The only thing that kept him from the promised land was 2 bad rolls and a God shot by an opponent. If he played 14.1 1/100000 of what Hohmann does, it'd be a murder scene.

Ball-making-wise -- he's second to no one in that room and I stress NO ONE.

I don't like the fact that they implemented new rule changes to eliminate the soft break. Why because it was an unfair advantage. No one tells the guys with the strongest breaks to slow them down. They are the ones with an advantage.

I don't have a problem with soft breaking, however I do have a problem with pattern racking. That should not be allowed. It makes for the same runouts far too often

I think the ideal combo is... corey picks the pattern and racks.
Shane breaks at the speed corey dictates.
Either one runs the balls.

Corey's rack was more perfect (failed the wingball less) and his break super consistent.
But he hit it in a way that ruined his 3 ball. Shane spread them a little better but hit too hard.
I think there's a happy medium that gets the 3 ball to move away from its neighbor
and still allow you to hit soft enough to play the 1 in the side.

We can ban pattern racking when someone finally, truly abuses it to the point where it's clearly unfair.
So far we haven't seen that. We've seen dennis try but end up playing every rack a little differently...
no two racks were identical.

Corey may have had 2 identical racks but the 3 ball problem prevented it from happening more
than a couple of times.

When we see 5 in a row with every ball going to the same pocket... fine, ban pattern racking.

I don't understand why someone like corey doesn't film himself doing a 10-pack.
No full ten pack has been caught on video. Just several 9 packs and part of earl's famous 11 rack run.
Corey should be able to soft break and pattern rack a 10-pack and be the first to video it.

There is a video of Corey running a 7 pack at Capones in Florida that is somewhere on youtube

Between guys like you and Travis Trotter...I think we are heading into apocalyptic end times.

That said, I'm your personal harbinger of doom. So long!

It seems like you guys got it totally wrong! Very wrong! And yes this is The Gorgeous Gary Cheng. And I don't even know where should I start.

First of all, I've been back to Taiwan for 13 years already so my brain has been washed to a certain degree. Come to Taiwan and no one will say Corey is great, far away from it in fact. BTW, for those who fcuked me over here I'll fcuk you back when the time is right, watch. Get back to the topic. The only American they think is great is Earl and not even Johnny, as Pei-Wei Chang told the Taiwanese newspaper before the match that Johnny couldn't beat him as they've played before, that he got great confidence against Johnny. Now let's do a poll, who's better? Johnny or Pei-Wei? The point is, Taiwanese people buy into that! Fans here truly think Taiwanese pros should win every tournament and they're the best in the world. As for Taiwanese pros besides Yang and Chao, they all said Efren is the man and don't even bother mentioning Busta. As for Yang and Chao, they idolized each other and live next door like to be treated like celebrities.

However, I still think Corey got the skills to be consider one of the tops. But if I play as a pro and got drilled by Busta or anybody 2 straight days in straight pool then I would not be satisfied with myself. If I'm in a head to head match and got beat 2 out of 3 then I wouldn't be satisfied with myself. If you don't like my comment then get the fcuk outta here, you don't NEED to speak! And this guy said 1 pocket is THE GAME???? Are you fcuking serious?? THE easiest GAME you mean? Jesus all you need to defend is ONE! I mean ONE! POCKET! Hard? Try to move the balls to your side and if you failed, play a safe that any lady can do. How hard is it? And how hard is it to pocket 6 or 7 balls in the same corner pocket when the balls are totally spread? TAR should replace one pocket with straight pool! Idiots! Don't say shits like "how good are you?"...."Can you beat Shane?".... "Ns" I don't play nomore so don't run your mouths like that. I'm now 39 and when I was around 30 I could play in the NFL!!!! Running back, free safety or corner, name one! Special team too! And who the fcuk am I? Eli Manning. White as you 2 rings 16 millions per year, happy?

Despite you "Ns" running your mouths attacking me but I still consider Corey as a friend, lucky him. At the end, I'm gonna tell you the richest man in Asia who lives in Hong Kong once made this statement. "Don't listen to your family or friends' advices cause they belong to the 99% of ordinary folks. so by listening to them will only make you ordinary." My point is, I belong to that unique 1%. So if you don't think your that 1%, (chances are you're not), then don't say negative things towards me. That's for your own good. Be Humble and Listen will make you Smart. If you know what I'm saying....

Wow.....almost made it to 54 posts.
That's got to be close to a record.:grin-square:

And speaking of 14.1...

Wasn't Corey the one who decided he was gonna try playing some straight pool and ran 229 balls?

Guess he can cross straight pool off the list of pool games he wants to master. Bring on more boredom.

Gary watches because his girl friend is soooo horny for me, and thus nothing else to do really :)

Darn you Mr. Wilson

Gary was just about to announce his secret project to save pool with his mates Marty Herman and Jason Hunt. Now we are going to miss it!
