Will Accu-Stats be streaming the World Championships?

Im really regretting Accu-Stats non appearance for this event. Whoever decided I think made an error. Not critical of Inside Pools team but Pat Fleming and his team have done incredible work with the past 14.1 events. Each year their vids have gotten better and better.
I spoke to Danny D tonite and he really misses being there. Maybe next year.

Ditto ... obviously penny wise, pound foolish.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to watch any of the livestreams (I've been stuck working at a customer site in Manhattan all week, getting home very late).

But let me guess -- Inside Pool have "World Alvin" in the booth commentating on a *14.1* match? (I.e. Alvin Nelson, you know, the guy who yaps about everything *but* the match at hand, and does this stupid fake Arnold Schwarzenegger accent when talking about German players like Thorsten?) If that's the case, it's a travesty, when 14.1 experts such as Pat and Danny are so close and have traditionally been the "go to" folks for an event like this.

I guess when it comes to expert commentary, I'm kinda spoiled. That is, unless, I.P. hired George Fels for the commentary, in which case, I take back what I said above. (The travesty thing, I mean. The stuff about the yapper stays.)

At least you'll be able to catch up with the Saturday and Sunday matches -- unless you have to work on the weekend, that is.

Unfortunately Bob, I'm down here through Saturday ("down here" meaning all the way down by Financial Plaza, right next to the site of the old World Trade Center). But I'll be able to catch the Sunday matches, so I guess all is not lost. I just hope to gawd that the yapper isn't in the booth. It stinks having to watch a Finals with the audio disabled :(, but I'll do what I have to do to at least watch the culmination to a champion!

hey all.....the tourney ends today, semi finals are going on now as we speak !!!

Rats. Leave it to that distraction-to-pool-called-"work" to mess things up. :) Well, this is the first one I've been forced to miss (did attend the prior 14.1 events, though). And there's always next year!

Thats the rub! I too have to miss the stream because of commitments. What Accu-Stats does is give you an option to get a wonderful set of DVDs to review plus added bonuses like player commentary of high runs.
The promoters of this event must be made aware that this is highly important for the fans particularly 14.1 game lovers.
Lets not forget Accu-Stats also gives a small residual to the players for DVD sales. With the expert commentary each DVD provides a tutorial for the viewer. Sorely missed opportunity IMO.

watch 14.1 later

I think inside Pool will be making the Stream matches available at a later date on youtube.com. They might be .99 cents each, but not sure

I hope so. Only reading about the matches and checking out the round robin and bracket score sheets is driving me crazy.

I couldn't care less what it's SUPPOSED to be called. I titled it as I did since I wanted to clarify the event I was speaking of. Please don't turn this into an anti-DP thread. Especially since as far as I'm concerned, it's thread over and closed. I have the answer I wanted.

It cracks me up when someone posts this type of thing. I can almost see the wheels turning when they post..."Then I'll just say the thread is over cause I got all I wanted and that will really shut em down!"

Cause that always works.

I have no idea what your talking about. Wheels coming off what???

Listen, all I wanted was a little info on the streaming and I felt as though I was being scrutinized for the title of my thread. True or not, it's frusterating when I have nothing to do with what the tournament is being promoted as and I have already responded to an earlier discussion on this forum with my thoughts on the issue. I'm also not the first person to be unhappy with attempts to derail a thread topic.

I dont see where anyone had any sort of issue with the thread topic. The issue was with the tournament promotion itself. The bottom line is unless Charlie comes here and explains why he choose the streamer he did its all speculation.

Fair enough.

Mark had made a couple of mentions regarding thread topic. I can accept that I was being touchy. For that I apologize.
