WNT Florida Open 2026, August 4-9, Orlando, Caribe Royale

There definitely is an agenda against Shane within Matchroom.

Scott Frost on commentary was saying that if Shane doesn't make the top 3 for Mosconi Cup points, then he would pick Bergman as wild card over SVB. :ROFLMAO:

I mean that’s not a crazy take. Shane is on the greatest players of all time, but also historically a poor performer in the MC race to 5. I’m not saying I’d make that choice, but it’s not crazy, IMO.

I went to all 4 days at the last Mosconi Cup, and SVB was the only one who turned up.

Fedor, Sky, Billy and Tyler were an embarrassment.

Shane has a bad Mosconi Cup record because he keeps getting matched up against the best Euro players.

If Shane isn't on the team, then Johan has lost the plot.

Bergman is not where he was 10 years ago.
He has been proving he isn't in recent events.

Agree, but I would still have him over Tyler and Billy.

Tyler and Billy can't compete with the Euros on the safety game.

At least Bergman knows how to play defensive and his cue ball control is a lot tighter.
My god... we're talking about whether Billy should be on the team... American pool is so hosed. I'd bet on about 500 Europeans in a race to 11 against him.

What rankings are they using?

Based on this: https://worldnineballtour.com/rankings/

Of the players in this event, Shane is 13th and Filler is 4th in rankings.

So how are we getting an SVB vs Filler L16 match? When another L16 match is Thorsten/Hubner vs Alnar/Makkonen?

thorsten beat gomez, hubner beat pijus. alnar beat alcaide, makkonen beat sky. so two high ranked, recent MR event winners lost to these fairly unknown players.

there is no bad seeding here. unlucky draw maybe, but from what i've seen of filler the last two weeks, he's not favorite

Scott and Shane are buddies for sure, but he is definitely a huge Justin Bergman fan.
